Key scene of Ep26 imo; giving insight to what’s to come.
The Ep wasn’t about who’s right & who’s wrong but a display of characters inner psyche and behaviours.

وَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالنَّفۡسِ اللَّوَّامَةِؕ
(75:2) and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul!

Quran has mentioned three kinds of human self:
- Ammarah: the self that urges man to evil
- Lawwamah: the self that feels repentant at doing wrong, thinking wrong & willing wrong & reproaches man for this & the same is called conscience in modern terminology

- Mumtmainnah: the self that feels full satisfaction at following the right path and abandoning the wrong path.

Equivalent to Freud’s psychoanalytic theory -
Id, Ego and Superego.

According to Quran;
“No man exists in the world who may not have a faculty called conscience in him. This conscience is necessarily conscious of the good and evil, and no matter how perverted and degraded a man might be,

his conscience always checks him on doing evil and for not doing good irrespective of the fact whether the criterion of good and evil that he had set for himself might in itself be right or wrong.

This is an express pointer that man is not merely an animal but a moral being. He naturally can distinguish good from evil; he regards himself as responsible for the good or the evil he does;

and even if he might feel pleased suppressing the reproaches of his conscience over the evil he has done to another, he, on the contrary, feels and demands from within that the other one who has done the same evil to him, must deserve punishment.”

Freud proposed that the mind is divided into three components: id, ego, and superego, and that the interactions and conflicts among them create personality. Ego strength refer to the ego's ability to function despite these dueling forces.

A person who has good ego strength can effectively manage these pressures, - healthy personality, while a person with too much or too little ego strength can be unyielding or disruptive -maladaptive personality.

Realising that blaming & making excuses is futile. that it was you who created all good & all bad in ur life

Only then you take control over your life and yourself again and instead of accepting what was unconsciously passed onto you, you start fresh, you let go of the past and creat you own new path.
