Posting this days after 3 children, a substitute teacher, a custodian and the head of the school were murdered & as people nationwide beg for the banning of assault weapons is deeply callous and dark sided. In fact, posting it at all is sick.
Also, there's no need to frame this as a “hard pill” or use a meme format in general because it's wildly disrespectful. You can just say “hey we’re ghouls with no regard for human life”
^ So they can also miss me with the “we don't need regulation/legislation, we need more guns..you know, for protection!” convo. That's clearly only a stance when it fits an agenda.

I’ve watched these Black women athletes be disrespected online (one posthumously) about their game. By the masses. They’re “too skilled,” “too focused on their mental health,” “too expressive,” “too cocky”…too whatever.
I've been interviewing/analyzing the career moves of Black women athletes for the past few years. Threading some of my essays + reporting here. Give me a follow for more. 💪🏾❤️
