THREAD: @SecondGentleman accompanied @VP to Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia. His engagements focused on strengthening relationships and people to people ties. Mr. Emhoff also made a series of announcements that will help to advance women’s rights and tackle climate change.

At his first engagement in Ghana, the @SecondGentleman met with students and the cast of @YoloTvSeries. He spoke about youth empowerment and creating opportunities for all Ghanaians.

Next, the @SecondGentleman and @NBA_Africa hosted the first all-girls basketball clinic in Ghana! They practiced dribbling and passing techniques. The @SecondGentleman announced the donation of laptops from the U.S. to Ghana’s legal aid commission. These laptops will help advance equitable access to justice by providing resources to help those in need to legal support.

In Tanzania, @SecondGentleman met with female fishers and community leaders to hear directly from them about the barriers Tanzanian women face to their full participation in the fishing industry.
