You know the Danish island, Bornholm, as being near to where the Nordstream lines were blown up.
But did you know that the Ruzzians occupied Bornholm from May 9 1945 until April 5 1946?
That’s right.. Bornholm was only truly free almost a year after the rest of Europe..

Not counting the poor Eastern European countries that remained under ruzzian ironfisted tyranny for ages more 😢
The Germans on Bornholm under command of Kapitän zur See Gerhard von Kamptz, would not surrender to the ruzzians, as they knew how prisoners of war was treated.

The Germans would only surrender to the British, but they would not go to Bornholm unless the Danish government formally asked them to, which they didn’t?!
Kapitän zS Gerhard von Kamptz was on charge of evacuating german civilians and troops, many wounded, from the Eastern front,

which is why they would not surrender to the ruzzians.
The ruzzians however didn’t wait to talk to the other allies before moving on Bornholm, as the island is strategically important for naval control of the Baltic Sea, just as Denmark is with our 3 straits.

So on May 7 1945, Bornholm was “gifted” with ruzzian mir..
The cities of Nexø and Rønne was bombed without warning by ruzzian airplanes, while flyers were dropped warning the Germans to kapitulate, which they refused, so the next day the bombing continued.

By then the cities had been evacuated and the damage was less as well as losses.
By some miracle only 9 Danish civilians lost their lives 😢 and an unknown number of Germans.
Kapitän zS Gerhard von Kamptz managed to evacuate around 15-17.000 German civilians and soldiers

to avoid these falling into ruzzian captivity.
He was however a fanatical nazi 🖕but fulfilled his duty to those in his charge. He spent 9 years in ruzzian captivity, but survived to return home to Germany, where he died in 1988.

Bornholm would stay under ruzzian occupation for near 11 months, during which the civilians had more trouble with the occupiers than through 5 years of German occupation. Drunken disorder, rape and theft.. 🙄 ruzzian mir.. 🖕

The ruzzianschad the audacity to put up a memorial to commemorate the ruzzians who fell fighting the German occupiers.. only that there was no battles and no fallen heroes.. 30 ruzzians died, yes, but 9 from alcohol poisoning, 18 drowned in a shipwreck and 3 of other causes.

It is known that one of the “other causes” was a soldier who got shot for looting by his commanding officer.
Most likely only because the civilians had the balls to report the soldier 🤷‍♂️

Every year the ruzzian embassy in Denmark visits the obelisk on May 9th to lay down flowers in honor of their drunken bastards and in 2022 they were asked not to, but did it anyway.. 🤬
I’m going to try and arrange a pro-Ukrainian demonstration there this year!
