Why this matters: former NCGB Chair Brin Gibson was appointed by #Tyrant#KingBaby#Sisollini. Gibson co-authored NGCB Industry Letter 2021-26 w former NGC Chair John Moran April โ21.
The tortured justification language of the letter tied casinoโs ability to reopen fully to โvaccination penetrationโ of โhospitality workersโ. Premise: front line โhospitalityโ staff were likely to catch/transmit Covid19. This purportedly would protect NV.
2/
Note: historically, the NGCB has jurisdiction over GAMING LICENSEES, per the Gaming Control Act. It did NOT include hospitality, retail, food outlets. NRS 463.157 defines โgaming employeeโ. Note who 463.157(2) specifically excludes.
Iโm not an expert in environmental science but I do have common sense.
Nevada has a LOT of industry which may be vulnerable to accidents like East Palestine, OH. Fuel farm & rail cut right through the heart of the Truckee Meadows.
1/
I ask @JosephMLombardo to consider assembling an emergency task force to review & assess any sites, statewide, vulnerable to industrial accidents/sabotage. It would a worthy deployment of OSHA & other industry specialists to inspect those sites.
2/
Many such regulatory agencies are insufficiently staffed to conduct such statewide contemporaneous inspections. The state could source reinforcements from hundreds of retired compliance investigators across many specialties.
