On a related note it is absolutely wild how unprepared @mtaibbi was for this interview. Will definitely show up on his next performance review with Elon Musk.
The thing that really comes through in the interview (besides how unhinged he’s become) is how much of Taibbi’s current worldview hinges on two beliefs: that there was zero Russian social media interference in the 2016 election and that Jan. 6 wasn’t a threat to democracy.

Look I’m sorry this is great. I don’t even care if the case is weak. Bring the stronger cases so we can see more of this.
Then indict Bush and Clinton, and hell, Biden, if you can figure out a law he’s broken. Indict half of Congress and some SCOTUS justices. Indict them all! Indictments for everybody.

Among other things, he says he’s going to repeat the sentence. Then not only does he not do that but he introduces a new error (Trump isn’t “an American president” anymore. There’s only one of those at a time.)

Not surprised that America’s most gullible lieutenant general fell for that thread, but telling who he cc’d
This seemingly damning bit of information falls apart when you realize a) there are almost definitely bats much closer to Wuhan than that and b) Guangdong (where SARS 1 started) is just as far away from its most likely bat source.
Also love how he ends the thread by begging the question
