"Don’t play with him. On my mother’s life, he is playing against us”
Three years is a long time in football, and Vini Jr is no longer the butt of Karim Benzema's joke.
He's a full-fledged star and maybe, the best left winger in the world.

From 8 goals in his first 82 La Liga games to 17 in 35 last season. Vini Jr has arrived. And it’s not just about the goals, there’s a deeper connection there too.
When Real Madrid fans returned to the Bernabeu after 560 days, it was Vini who leapt into the crowd to embrace them. Once that kind of bond is formed it’s tough to break.
He's done the hard yards. Dropped into a post-Champions League treble comedown at 18. But his time is now, and the sky is the limit. “Vini! Vini! Vini!” rings around the Bernabeu.
And now, it's his own quote that is the dominant narrative. "Better not to put any price on me, it is better for me to stay here at Real Madrid”.

The Holmesdale Fanatics were founded in 2005 and partnered with the ultras of Panionios FC, the oldest football club in Greece.
The club share the same red and blue colours, and values of fan activism and anti-authoritarianism.
Their display for the FA Cup final took three full weeks of full-time work to pull together. It also cost more than £45,000 – money that was raised by the Palace support.
Mesut Özil. The OG assist king. A pioneer who forever changed the assist numbers game. A player who achieved so much yet it feels like he should have achieved more. One of the most intelligent players we’ve ever seen. [THREAD]
A graduate of Schalke's academy, he debuted in Gelsenkirchen but shortly moved to Bremen. In two full seasons at Werder he recorded a staggering 52 assists and 15 goals. UEFA Cup runner-up and DFB Pokal winner. Scored the only goal in the final.
The 2010 WC saw Özil really announce himself to everyone. Started all of Germany’s games and helped to a SF finish becoming competition’s joint-top assister. His pace in the younger days was underrated. Trademark disguised pass nutmegging Ashley Cole.
