DMK Politicians in TN run Alcohol industries, CBSE Schools, Engg Medical colleges, Car dealerships, Real Estate, Construction, Hotels, Hospitals, Pesticides, Rice Mills, Spinning mills, Satellite channels, Film distribution etc
Other than the obvious corruption issues .....
There is another issue - CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Businesses, by nature, will look to exploit people and maximise profits. Govt is there to regulate businesses and defend people
Take a guess on which side these politicians will take when it comes to us or their business?
Few examples
NEET opposition in TN is fueled primarily by politicians who run Medical colleges. Used to make 50L to 1 Cr for a management seat before NEET. Now they can't
They couch their anti-NEET protests as Tamil exceptionalism, center overreach, anti rural students etc.
Politicians run Alcohol distilleries. See the SNJ on CSK jersey? That's just one of the distillery run by politicians and their backers. Our friend Jagathratchagan of that palatial resort in my other tweet, owns two. ADMK's Sasikala started Midas distilleries to tap into this.
So the govt creates an alcohol supply and distribution monopoly - TASMAC which procures from these distilleries, and sell in bars run by party cadre.
Conflict of interest.
That's why bars are run without any regulation, overcharged bills, and even unbilled / untaxed
That's just two. These folks have used power to start businesses, modified policies to boost them to huge revenues, expand to empires that they are running now
Not the primitive "fodder scam" corruption of Laloo
This is 'scientific corruption'
While the state has grown, these parasites have grown immensely as well. Pointing to the state's growth and giving a pass to these parasites is not acceptable.
Pointing to other poorly run states, and giving a pass is also not acceptable.
I want better leaders. No low bars.
You will not eat organic, go to gym, claim to be healthy than others etc , when having a effing tape worm inside you
You'll be much more healthier without that tape worm.
New industries minister - TRBR
No conflict of interest here...
