Has the United Nations really called for decriminalization of "sex w/ minors"?

In short, no, not quite.

But, the breakdown of "consent" has begun.

Do we need to be very concerned and vigilant?

I will preface by saying my focus on the UN has been specifically in regards to their manipulation of language of "sex" & "gender" to breakdown female sex-based provisions on a world-wide scale & the destruction of sex as a measurable category. (2/22)

Everything the UN publishes is propaganda. That doesn’t negate the fact that the UN is responsible for dictating terms of international human rights law & international criminal courts follow their guidance. (3/22)

Even resolutions considered non-binding have a massive impact on society as they are seen as definitive by civil society organizations and referenced by judges in national and international criminal courts. (4/22)

The 8 March Principles are a “set of expert jurist legal principles to guide application of international human rights law to criminal law” launched by The International Committee of Jurists (ICJ) along w/ UNAIDS & UN Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). (6/22)

8 March Principles are based on general principles of criminal law & international human rights law and standards. This is not so much a new set of guidelines but rather an interpretation of existing language in a new package / framework that can better sell their agenda. (7/22)

This is very similar to how the UN sells female erasure on a global scale by  interpreting “sex” & “gender” to the point they have become meaningless categories.

"Gender" now encompasses "gender identity" which renders "sex" illegible. (8/22)

8 March calls for “Decriminalization of sex between persons under the age of 18", allowing minors to self determine whether sexual activity is consensual or not.

No clarification on age is given beyond the phrasing, “persons under 18 years of age”. (9/22)

The word “minor” does not appear. The word “child” does not appear.

The 8 March Principles refer to, “adolescents’ evolving capacity to consent in certain contexts, in fact, even if not in law, when they are below the prescribed minimum age of consent in domestic law”. (10/22)

For sexual activity to be consensual, everyone involved must be able to consent which means that both of the people have to be above the legal age of consent.

Age of consent in America varies mostly between 16-18 yrs. (11/22)

Some states allow minors to consent to sexual activity together if they are within a particular age range. In general, when two minors under the age of consent engage in "consensual" sex with one another, they are both open to statutory rape charges.

Two minors = illegal, statutory rape, both parties responsible, both parties can be arrested

One minor, one adult = illegal, statutory rape, adult is responsible, adult can be arrested (13/22)

The March 8 Principles seek to reframe sex between minors as consensual, and decriminalize that activity.

Allowing minors to decide if sex with another minor is consensual is one step closer towards minors (children) being able to decide if sex with adults is consensual. (14/22)

The March 8 Principles do not call for decriminalization of sex between minors and adults, but they do contribute to a massive erosion of child safeguarding boundaries and breakdown the already worn boundary of who is considered an adult and who is considered a child. (15/22)

The March 8 Principles contribute to erosion of who the responsible party/ies are within a non-consensual sexual interaction.

The Principles deal directly with who is legally capable of being arrested for non-consensual sexual interaction and who is capable of consent. (16/22)

The breaking down of the boundary of consent is already well underway. The UN recommends, “legal recognition of gender identity that is: simple, based on self-identification, and available to minors.” (17/22)

If minors can consent to alter their healthy bodies, surgeries and drugs purporting to “change sex”, practices that can result in long-term irreversible medical damage including loss of function and sensation in genitalia, and sterilization...

...this opens the gateway to manipulate consent in other arenas, as is being done here –allowing minors to determine if sexual activity between minors is consensual and decriminalizing sex between minors. (19/22)

The UN has eroded sex-based protections for women. w/ introduction of terms “gender”, “gender expression”, & now “gender identity”.

These word games deliver a massive blow to our ability to maintain sex as meaningful measurable category in national & international law. (20/22)

If UN follows a similar pattern of manipulation w/ “age”,  “consent", “minor” as w/ biological “sex”, it won’t be long before those words become illegible & breakdown in meaning as well. Our ability to protect children in national & international law will be affected. (21/22)

"persons under 18 years of age" = children, minors

"Women in all their diversity" = “trans women” = men

Bodily autonomy = right to “puberty blockers”, cross sex hormones, and “sex-reassignment” surgeries

The UN is always playing word games. Remain vigilant.
