Thread1/7 : To the few that know me very well know that i am an introvert but very big at networking bcz i believe that your network is your networth. So last year, I received an invitation to go to S.A as a possible candidate to host a Netflix show alongside Kylie J & Drake 😂
2/7 I asked why me ? and I was told they needed an East African face of a certain physical stature and fluent that can blend so well with the American duo ,fit the luxurious show and give it life. And from their online observation of me “ i was a great contender 🤣🤭.
3/7 As a hustler,I was super exited. My mind told me ,you’ve got a huge platform to launch yourself to the world and unleash your potential. Please note that the payment was 3-4 million dollars/year for a 3 year contract renewal 🤣. As a hustler that believes in the holy Bible,
4/7 I started reciting Mathew :7:7 . For me the lord had already given. I was told we would use the Netflix platform to feature #visitRwanda, even shoot some of our shows in 🇷🇼 luxurious hotels. As a proud Rwandan, I was knocked off my feet . However, it was too good to be true.
5/7 My instincts told me to look through it with a fine tooth comb. I requested for the company profile, official invitation and hotel booking, presented it to authorities to seek advice and help me to know how legit it was. The due diligence was done and I was advised
6/7 not to go bcz everything found about the company was screaming scum. Last week in the media,I read about most wanted criminals in South Africa & it was the people I was speaking too. Thanks @rwandainsa for Saving my life.
Moral of the story. Dear young ones, especially those
7/7 in the limelight, as you are out here fending for yourself, please be vigilant about whoever presents opportunity to you,not all that glitters is gold. there are crooks out here with cognitive empathy without compassion. Always seek advice. Stay Safe y’all. #thisisjolly🦅
