This morning I was sitting in the courtroom when a deputy approached me and asked me to step outside and bring my phone. This was before court started, as people were still coming in. The judge was not on the bench, and the jury was not in the room. I stepped out with the deputy
who told me he had a report that I had taken a picture of Lori in the courtroom. I later was told it was Jim Archibald who complained. I did not take a picture and handed the deputy my phone. He confirmed that I had not taken any pictures in the courtroom. Despite that, a second
deputy walked up and told me he was going to "confiscate my phone as evidence." Yes, I was pissed. After further discussion, the first deputy allowed me back in the courtroom with my phone. When someone asked me what happened, I told them. The deputy then pulled me out a second
time and told me I had made a disruptive comment by telling someone what had happened. This was while people were still milling around and court had not started. I said I wouldn't say anything more. He sent me back to sit down.
A few seconds later, the judge came on the bench, said I had disrupted the proceeding, and had the deputy escort me out! I was told I could remain in the overflow viewing area, where I stayed until the noon break. At that point,
the court administrator came in and asked me to leave the building. She said I could return tomorrow if I wanted to meet with the judge. I have a meeting tomorrow at 8 am. I hesitate to say more, but it feels personal. #imstillthegoodlori#lorivallowdaybell#freelorihellis
