6 years ago, a plan was already in motion to corrupt our courts and force through a nationwide ban on the most commonly used abortion pill — in all 50 states, any and all circumstances, without exception.

And Josh Hawley thinks you’ll let him get away with it.

Let me explain:
2017: Matt Kacsmaryk is nominated to be a federal judge for the north TX district court.

His confirmation stalls for years. And just this week, we learned he even lied to hide just how bizarre his obsession with controlling people's bodies really is. dallasnews.com/news/politics/…
2018: While his nomination languishes in the Senate, Kacsmaryk decides to invest in his future.

So he became a campaign donor for Josh Hawley, a fellow member of the Federalist Society — a group of corporate activist lawyers with funders including Chevron, Google, and the Kochs.
2019: Now a U.S. Senator, Josh Hawley decides to make Kacsmaryk, his campaign donor, a federal judge.

Hawley confirms Kacsmaryk to the north TX district court, despite bipartisan opposition over Kacsmaryk's Big Brother views on contraceptives and personal freedoms.
2022: A lawsuit is filed in the north TX district court by activist lawyers seeking to ban an abortion pill that millions have used safely. Medication abortion accounts for over half of all abortions.

Hawley’s wife leads the suit. His donor is the judge. cnbc.com/2023/04/12/abo…
2023: Hawley’s DONOR judge rules in favor of the lawsuit led by Hawley’s WIFE, calling for a near-immediate ban on the abortion drug mifepristone in all 50 states.

And it's the first time a judge has ever tried to unilaterally take a drug off the market against FDA objections.
Now in his official capacity as Senator, Josh Hawley has signed an amicus brief demanding that the Supreme Court end a temporary injunction blocking the ruling (in his wife's lawsuit) by a federal judge (his campaign donor) to ban America's most commonly-used abortion medication.
This is what corruption looks like. And in 2024, we’re going to make Josh Hawley own it. ImageImage
Senators shouldn’t be in the business of using their position to benefit their family's legal careers and activism, especially if there is financial incentive to do so.

And there shouldn't even be a hint of campaign donations impacting who, when, and how a judge gets on a court.
In the Senate, I’ll vote to restore Roe. But I'll also fight for rules to end corruption like this, starting with:

1. Barring Senators from voting on judicial nominees who've given to their campaigns.

2. Barring Senators from lobbying any court to benefit an immediate relative.

Hawley comes from a banking family. His dad's a bank president! He knows SVB didn't fail because of "woke climate change solutions" or whatever the hell that means.

But Josh would rather lie and keep us distracted while his rich friends keep on robbing us. Let me explain:🧵 Image
I'm not from a banking family like Hawley, but I do know a bit about them.

Between deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, where I helped protect service members from illegal foreclosures and bank scams after the banks crashed our economy in 2008.
I saw firsthand as banks tried to illegally kick soldiers and their families out of their own homes — just to squeeze a little bit more money out of them.

I know what these banks are capable of. thedailybeast.com/since-911-wall…

I'm not interested in co-parenting with Josh Hawley and his creepy Big Brother bullshit.

His plan to “protect kids online” would push teenage minors to surrender sensitive personal documents + photo IDs to giant social media companies.

Don't believe me? Read the bill text: 🧵 ImageImageImage
Josh Hawley is so obsessed with controlling our lives, he’d go as far as requiring every American who makes a social media account to trust Facebook, Snapchat, and China-owned TikTok with copies of some of the same documents you'd need to replace a social security card.
If you didn’t already think this proposal from ex-corporate lawyer Josh Hawley was out-of-touch:

To "enforce" his Big Brother rules, he’d make parents fight Big Tech on their own in court — putting everyday Americans up against powerful lawyers hired by billionaire corporations.

Josh Hawley doesn’t know the Missouri I know.

Let me show you:
When Joshua's banker daddy was sending him to a fancy prep school miles from his hometown, my family and I were relying on our neighbors to survive bankruptcy and medical bills in mid-Missouri — in a community where people took care of each other. ImageImageImage
When Hawley graduated from law school, he joined one of the world’s most elite corporate law firms. I joined the Marine Corps to pay back the community in Missouri that took care of me. ImageImage

Some folks have asked me why we launched this campaign to replace Josh Hawley in the U.S. Senate so early before the election.

I think I owe you all an explanation. So here's a quick thread about why...
I'll start out by telling you this: From the moment we joined this race, Josh Hawley and his corporate allies have been on the attack online and in the press.

Hawley himself messaged his donors to say I'd “love nothing more than to take back Missouri. We CAN'T let that happen.”
Hawley is coming at us hard, fast, and early.

That means our best shot at winning this race is building a record-breaking movement right from the start so we can fight back, get our positive message in front of Missouri voters, and hold him accountable for betraying our country.

Since I launched my campaign to replace Josh Hawley in the Senate, thousands have joined our grassroots movement. But that's not all... @HawleyMO and his corporate DC allies have also gone on the attack.

So let me tell you a bit about me — and why Joshua is so afraid of me:
I grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Jeff City, right in the middle of Missouri. Like most Americans today, my family lived paycheck-to-paycheck — so when my little sister was born with a heart condition, the medical bills bankrupted us.

But we weren’t alone...
When my parents had to take my sister to get surgeries at a hospital over 100 miles away, our neighbors and friends took my siblings and me into their homes.

When we couldn’t afford groceries, they brought more casserole and lasagna by the house than we could ever hope to eat.

When elephants fight the grass suffers. The proverb typically matters to military families when politicians start wars. But now it applies because our feckless politicians let corporations get so big that they trample us, too. The latest 👇military.com/daily-news/202…
One of three middleman companies called PBMs that control nearly all of our country’s prescriptions runs the TriCare military prescription program. And they are in a battle with the Kroger grocery/pharmacy. drugchannels.net/2021/04/the-to…
Kroger is protesting Express Script’s monopoly pricing by pulling out of Express Scripts deals, including the TriCare contract. When TriCare users like me go to our login page, this is what we see. Image
