At Chandni Chowk and Alisha Bazzar, there is a tradition of offering
Macha (fish) Bhoga to the Goddess on Maha Navami.
1. Choudhury Bazaar
For the Mother Goddess, ‘Pohala Machha’ is cooked along with ‘Kanika’, ‘Baigan Bhaja’ and ‘Saga Bhaja’. Only two kg of the bhoga is prepared which is not distributed among devotees.
The committee also prepares ‘Machha bhoga’, a special curry made of fish & vegetables, along with ‘Kanika’ and ‘Khata’. It is offered to subsidiary deities and then distributed among people of 10 sahis and also sold to devotees. The committee uses freshwater fishes for the curry
The @ASIGoI Archaeological Survey of India along with Bhubaneswar tehsil officials is now demarcating government land in the 562.681 acre of #Sisupalgarh which was notified as an ancient monument on November 13, 1950.
The work started a month back after the chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra held a meeting with ASI and all other stakeholders following the direction of the Orissa High Court. @INTACHIndia had filed a petition in this regard in the high court 15 years back.
