Meet the Author: Alexandra Beckett (@itsalexbeckett), a PhD candidate and #ECR from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital @StJudeResearch @stjudegraduate, is 1st author of “CD47 expression is critical for CAR T cell survival in vivo”, recently published in #JITC! 1/7 
She was inspired to become a researcher to combine her drive to constantly learn with her desire to make a positive impact in the world by developing novel cancer therapies. 2/7
She is most excited about cell and gene therapy, and would like to work as an R&D scientist to someday contribute to the development of a new therapy that helps someone. 3/7
She is excited to publish in #JITC because it will allow her “to share my research and make an impactful contribution to the field of immunotherapy of cancer.“ 4/7
RECRUITMENT ALERT: She will be graduating in July 2023 and is interested in an academic/industry postdoc position or an R&D scientist position in industry! 5/7
Outside of research she competes in marathons and half-ironman triathlons. She also referees rugby at a national and international level. Finally, Alexandra spends lots of time at the dog park with her adorable pup, Oliver. 6/7
