THREAD: The #Bears finally found their star right tackle. Tennessee OT Darnell Wright is the pick at No. 10.
Wright is 333 pounds with long arms and a nasty punch at the point of attack.

For such a big guy, he bursts well off the line of scrimmage in pass protection, too. He tested insanely well at the Combine. #Bears
Wright is a fantastic run blocker who plays with a nasty demeanor at the point of attack.

He does a great job of generating power out of his lower half to drive defenders off the line of scrimmage. #Bears
When Wright lands his strikes accordingly, he has absurd grip strength.

He’s not an offensive tackle you’re beating with power, that’s for sure. #Bears
If you’re looking for a game of Darnell Wright’s to watch, turn on the Bama tape.

He dominated against Will Anderson and helped Tennessee’s offense in a major way. #Bears
Simply put, Darnell Wright is everything the #Bears want in an offensive tackle.

He’s big, he’s a solid athlete, he’s super strong, and he plays with an insanely high motor. Day 1 starter at RT with Pro Bowl upside.
In case you needed further persuasion, here’s Darnell Wright #RAS card.

A top performer at the Combine, especially for a guy as big as he is. #Bears Image

THREAD: The #Bears are rolling the dice on big-time upside with South Carolina DL Zacch Pickens at No. 64.
Pickens brings serious length and good athleticism to the table as a defensive tackle.

He fits the physical mold of an Eberflus 3-technique very well, so I’m far from stunned they loved him here. #Bears
Pickens offers impressive sheer speed and power as a DT, and his pure physical talent can make him tough to block.

He bursts well off the snap and has a strong anchor needed to eat gaps against the run, as well as create penetration. #Bears

THREAD: The #Bears have given themselves a loaded secondary by drafting Miami CB Tyrique Stevenson in Round 2.
Stevenson’s physicality and patience stand out to me in man coverage.

He maintains good footwork and hand usage through a WR’s stems, and he’s combative at the catch point. #Bears
Stevenson is a sound processor who works off rub routes well and times his jumps on routes effectively.

His above-average route recognition skills really help him out in coverage. #Bears

THREAD: The #Bears drafted Florida DT Gervon Dexter with the No. 53 pick, giving them a much-needed upgrade for their DL.
Dexter is one of the better interior run defenders in the 2023 draft.

He has impressive grip strength and a strong anchor, as well as very good situational awareness against the run. #Bears
The sheer strength that Dexter plays with allows him to dominate at the point of attack.

He lands his strikes well and has a nice arsenal of hand techniques to stack and shed blocks. #Bears

THREAD: Though Mizzou WR Emanuel Hall was an UDFA for the #Bears, I see him as essentially another draft pick. Here’s why:
To paraphrase Lightning McQueen, Emanuel Hall is speed. As far as acceleration off the snap and the ability to separate from defensive backs with raw speed goes, Hall may be the best receiver in the class.
Once he’s in the open field, Hall is very tough to catch. After a well-placed deep ball, he is able to maintain his top speed and fly right past defensive backs with ease.
