Maybe someone can help explain it but not gonna lie, the weird random Ice Queendom hate from the #RWBY FNDM seems... weird and unnecessary to me...

Not because its better than the OG or anything like that, more just cause its not... bad and so often it really feels like... just-
trying to gatekeep the show which seems weird and seems counterproductive to me.

If you have genuine issues with like pacing and stuff, I don't really personally get it but its fair enough, we all have our personal tastes for flow and story progression.

Outside of that. It-
Feels pretty arbitrary and weirdly mean to me. Like almost leaning into that exact same weird takes that we constantly have to deal with from people outside the community talking about RWBY proper. It a lot of the time just reads as gatekeepy and unhealthy for the growth of-
the series we all love so much.

And its very much so not just an IQ thing, I've also seen it with stuff like Arrowfell or the novels or manga or comics.

And again can't stress this enough if you do have genuine reasonable things about them you don't care for (There's-
things here and there I don't vibe with, or even read as people genuinely misunderstanding RWBY or its characters when creating for it (the manga/comics in particular can have this issue)) but yeah I just...

It really feels unearned sometimes and I wish we supported more of-
the series' growth. Especially with regards to projects that I do think genuinely try to show love, reverence, respect and care with the series, world and characters.

Anyway, just something that I thought about after passing a silly take about the costumes.

I might never have really been able to understand romantic Whiterose that much, BUT I will absolutely say they are an utter treasure when it comes to being partners and besties.

I don't really think they've had quite as much time to shine in their antics and or their-
personal interactions super recently but think that's down to both Ruby spending a lot of time mostly with Penny and Weiss either being more spread out across the board with with say Jaune. That and I think Weiss has LONG since out grown her need to go all tsundere with it and-

#RWBY Hey so forgive the bright overly simplistic insanely obvious visual aid... but I just happened to pass by something that... has proved its clearly not obvious to everyone.

RUBY'S. CHARACTER. ARC. IN. VOLUME. 9. IS. NOT. FILLER.

DOES NOT MEAN THAT RUBY IS THE EXACT SAME PERSON AS SHE ALWAYS WAS. IT DOES NOT MEAN HER GROWTH WAS "REVERTED"

This is kind of a pretty complicated one honestly, cause outside of literally like everyone fighting and ending her all at once at the very end, it's going to be fairly impossible to nail a perfectly satisfying end w/ her, not because of any bad reason more just because she's-
managed to be responsible for so many peoples very personal pain, Ruby, Jaune, Winter, Neo, etc. etc. and knowing her i'm sure she'll find a way to make that list grow still. So again outside of literally EVERYONE getting their hit in (which very possibly might be how it goes)-
