🔥📱 #TRAI has finally implemented the much-awaited change in rules for fake calls, promotional calls, and fake/push SMS which will be applicable from today onwards - from May 1, 2023

So what is the matter ??

👉 Starting from May 1st, Telecom Companies will be required to implement AI to filter spam calls and messages, as directed by TRAI.

👉This is expected to provide much-needed relief to customers who are tired of receiving pesky calls and fake messages.

👉As per the Survey of CNBC, 95% of people who have registered themselves for DnD, still receive Spam Calls

📵 How will the new AI filter help in removing spam calls and messages? 📵

🤖The AI filter will help the smartphone user to escape from different promotional calls.

Jio & Airtel have already announced to start the AI filter service soon (timeline not specified yet)

People have been handling these calls as shown in the chart:

🛡️TRAI has been actively working to put an end to fraudulent calls and messages, which are commonly used to scam users and extract money💰 from their accounts,👨‍💻hack their data, and carry out other nefarious activities

👉TRAI has been demanding that telecom operators stop promotional calls on 10-digit numbers

👉TRAI is also further looking to bring caller ID feature which will display photo & name of the caller - so that user may know who is calling, & if actual person is calling or not?

👉Some telecom giants like Airtel and Jio have raised concerns about the privacy implications and expenses associated with implementation of the Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) feature.

👉 Consequently, AI filter will remain primary tool to prevent spam calls and messages. 📵
