Rick Wright continues testimony about location pings week of tammy’s death:

9/16- Lori leaves Rexburg, travels to LV
22:29- Lori takes flight from Las Vegas

9/18 - 19:58 Alex leaves idaho falls snd heads towards daybell residence

22:07-22:47 - Alex device arrives at LDS church at 3462 North Salem Road, Rexburg, ID (distance between LDS church & Daybell’s is 2.6 miles)

22:07 - 23:45 Alex device is at The LDS church 3462 North Salem Road, Rexburg

Wright first met Ian on 12/5 and there was a follow up interview on the following day, 12/6, but Wright wasn’t present for that 12/6 interview

Rick Wright was at Jj’s grave when he was found and he states the grave would have taken a lot more time to our together then the time Alex spent on chads property

Lori was out of town on the 9th, [paintball incident] traveling from Arizona to Missouri.

She was traveling to Hawaii two days before Tammy was killed

NEW WITNESS -Dr Erik Christensen, Forensic pathologist Heath and human services, State of Utah

Dr did autopsy on Tammy Daybell on 12/11, but on 11/2019 he was contacted by Fremont about that process. He was there when her body was exhumed on 12/11 and transported.

Common &routine for someone in office to be present during the exhumation.

We had information subsequent to exam that they also reviewed and this is typical

Exhumations are not common. Out of 7200 autopsies he’s seen a dozen or two

They take photos, take samples and evidence, law enforcement personnel was present

The primary difference of an exhumed body vs another body is that the body has been embalmed, it’s tissues changed and stiffness make it harder. Tammy’s vault was dry and well maintained, body maintained

There was growth of mold on Tammy’s body, but we’ll preserved.

Take photos of body with clothing then without. Trace evidence, toxicology done, samples done, muscles tested, X-rays of body, samples looked at under the microscope, even if organs look ok, they might not be

AUTOPSY CONCLUSION: “Asphyxia” and Manner of death: “homicide”

Asphyxia is a broad cause, meaning someone wasn’t able to get sufficient oxygen into their system to continue living

Asphyxiation means you have a mostly negative autopsy or natural evidence showing how else a person died

Two primary natural causes without explanation can be seizures or arrhythmia

These were excluded

Asphyxia can be the results of suffocating, neck compression, chest compression

Any drugs or toxic substance … nothing in her system except a a trace amount of a drug she had been taking for years

She had blunt injuries and bruises on her arms and chest

These blunt trauma injuries are consistent with being constrained and asphyxia could then happen while being constrained

The toxicology testing was more detailed due to suspicious circumstances and health of Tammy. Sent liver in for testing. Nothing stood out in the toxicology testing

Pulmonary edema is a finding, not a cause of death.

Found in drug overdose, drowning. They’re showing photo of tammy Daybell’s face w/ pink foam, and Dr E says pulmonary edema also played a part in the cause of death being asphyxia

Bruises found on tammy’s arms and chests found in tammy’s autopsy — exhibit shown on projector (a hand drawn chart)

At least two bruises on back right biceps, & one of lower arm. At least 3 bruises on front right bicep & bruising on left upper arm & bruise on chest

This is similar to what the chart on the projector looked like showing bruises on Tammy daybell [front view]

We are now seeing closeup photos of the bruises on Tammy’s actual skin. Her right forearm and back forearm are also very bruised!

Seeing front of right forearm with a bruise. Made incision in one arm to show there was hemorrhage under the skin, showing the incision on the projector.

The bruises in the photos are very clear. Tammy had many bruises 😢

Sections taken under the microscope show acute injuries. Tissue under skin usually yellow, but it’s dark—showing hemorrhage.

Small scar present on the right chest wall

Discussing rigor mortis, or stiffness of death. and the lividity or pooling of blood . Blake asking how long Dr Erickson suspects tammy had been dead before the 912 call between 5 and 6 am
