On-The-Ground Law Enforcement Officers Were Heroes & Their Bosses Failed Them #NeverForgetJanuary6th
It's a good question. Protective order would have to very narrowly tailored. First Amendment considerations are real, but 1A protection does not attach to speech intended & highly likely to incite imminent lawless action.
If the judge considers imposing a protective order, he'd first have to decide whether Donald's current attacks on DA Bragg & the judge himself rise to the level of incitement of imminent lawless action so as to not be protected by the First Amendment.
Judge Juan Merchan will likely impose a protective order if he decides that Donald's attacks are highly likely to incite attacks on officers of the court - including himself. When he does that, he will have to specify what Donald cannot speak about.
The Republican Party is working overtime to normalize Donald Trump. I don't know why. I don't care why. I just know that this makes the Republican Party complicit in Donald Trump's crimes. We're in a dangerous inflection point in American history.
The GOP wants to rewrite the insurrection. They want to remake Donald Trump into a normal presidential candidate who did not conspire to overthrow our constitutional order. And this isn't just MAGA. Jeb Bush just tweeted along those lines.
Establishment GOP is rising up against American rule of law. They aren't being subtle about it either. They have weaponized House resources to defend Donald Trump in the court of public opinion. They've gone as far as intimidating prosecutors.
Twitter will soon be flooded with NRA bots defending guns by lying about the 2nd Amendment. There are many interpretations of the 2nd Amendment. In no interpretation is killing innocent civilians - including children - a purpose for which the right can be asserted.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." archives.gov/founding-docs/…
Whether poorly written or purposely convoluted (the commas are so annoying) notwithstanding, one could interpret this Amendment to mean that Americans have a right to keep & bear Arms because it is necessary to the security of a free State to have a well-regulated Militia.

It’s easy to confuse scarlet king snakes with Texas coral snakes, but knowing the difference could save your life. While they look bewilderingly alike, scarlets aren’t poisonous & corals will kill you.
Here’s a fun mnemonic to help distinguish between these two banded snakes: Red on black, friend of Jack; red on yellow, kill a fellow.
You see, in life knowing the difference between two things that look alike but most certainly aren’t alike can sometimes make the difference between life & death.
I'd like to say that I'm vexed about this. Exposes the sloppiness of procedure & @JoeBiden bears responsibility for it. Whether that rises to the level of criminal liability will be a determination the Trump-appointed investigator appointed to this case will have to make.
I do not condone criminal activity by ANY political leader. Just like I don't condone criminal activity by ANYBODY - our leaders MUST be subjected to the same level of scrutiny as we are. If this is what it takes, so be it.
That being said, DOJ won't be able to indict @POTUS even if the Trump-appointed prosecutor recommends prosecution after investigation. DOJ does not indict a sitting POTUS. Remember that Robert Mueller's testimony? Same memo. So DOJ would have to wait until after he leaves office.
