My take on all this is that we have seen nothing yet. Absolutely nothing. At the rate of which new players are entering the market, finding customers fast, and changing entire dynamics and workflows, we will see a lot more sacrifices made. Many companies will fall.

While I like the UX, the slowness makes it feel less premium. Maybe thats because in AI apps we have grown to connect slow with free and fast with premium.
The text fading in on the conversations adds to the slowness of the experience, and also makes me less engaged.
I understand that they are going for a gentle and human vibe, but when there is added friction for me to participate in the conversation, it feels less human, and more fake. IMO.
I feel less engaged in general with slow experiences.

If the future of cars are autonomous. We don't need a front or back. Not even a windshield.
We could essentially make RV like vehicles that move while we sleep, is more of a living room on wheels than a car.
If we re-imagined the car today, what would it look like?
Could our "cars" be more what we need them to be?
If we look at the driverless innovation on the truck side, we got stuff like Einride. That completely is removing the driver, and the place for the driver.
I should add that the opinions are mine, and does not reflect cruise. I’m the one thinking it will be illegal or extremely expensive for my kids to get human driving insurance in 20 years time.
