Lord how the mighty have fallen. And I didn’t even realize the full extent of it until the last few days…
There’s an extensive YouTube channel called Real Royalty, and occasionally I watch their videos, since along with being a lifelong royal watcher and Sussex supporter, I 1/
also have a keen interest in royal history, particularly the Tudor period. This channel has tons of videos covering the whole spectrum of royal history—however, their “documentaries” on the current day crop of British royals reveals that the channel is unabashedly pro-royalist—2/
we’re talking excessive heir vs. spare propaganda, positive coverage of Camilla to rehabilitate her image, saying Diana was kind of a whack job/unstable,etc.
But what I saw in the last few videos have shocked me. I know, it shouldn’t have. But the blatant shamelessness was 3/
truly that over the top.
I watched back-to-back “documentaries” on William and Harry, both clearly recorded when both men where in their early/mid twenties. The piece on William was unapologetic puffery and propaganda. The piece on Harry can only be 4/
described as a malicious hit piece and character assassination on a young man who had clearly undergone so much trauma—the loss of his mother as a child, being designated as the national whipping boy to elevate his brother, and constant rumors regarding 5/
his true paternity.
As expected, William is presented as the mature, smarter older brother who has to keep his immature wild younger brother in check. Again, not surprising. What was jaw-dropping was how blatant they were. William is described as “far better looking than 6/
Harry.” Obviously these “documentaries” were taped before William’s looks completely went to shit and Harry grew into the Sexy Ginger Avenger.
The spiteful insults continue. Harry wasn’t smart enough to go to Eton and shouldn’t have gone there. Harry is a parties and drinks 7/
and William doesn’t (seriously). William supposedly inherited his mother’s common touch (yes, they actually said this.)
Then there is the matter of Kate. I’ve gotten some pushback by saying the press coddled her from day one, while others claim this only started once Meghan 8/
came on the scene and they needed a foil to vilify Meghan. These videos prove me right. Royal PR “reporter” Katie Nichols gushes that William wouldn’t have chosen Kate unless “he knew she was absolutely perfect.” She goes on to describe her as the ideal princess-in-waiting. 9/
Believe me when I say that “never puts a foot wrong” crap started the minute Kate got famous.
This was NOT a hopeful projection of positive qualities of someone the public had yet to get to know. It will a willful ignoring of facts. During Kate’s decade as a professional 10/
girlfriend, we knew she spent excessive amounts of time clubbing, going on endless vacations, and pretending to work for her family’s “business” that supposedly made them millionaires selling paper hats and confetti. The press rarely questioned this 11/ telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/ro…
claim, despite Uncle Gary being a drug dealer making it even more suspect. Prince William is also described as “very protective of his girlfriend.” To be fair, he wasn’t nearly as openly contemptuous of Kate them as he is now. But it does give you an idea of how hard they 12/
were promoting William. There was even a fair amount of time discussing the absurd idea that Charles should be skipped over as king in favor of William—talk that had abruptly stopped long before the queen died.
But Charles isn’t completely discounted—the most shocking and 13/
deeply abhorrent part of these videos was how they did everything but flat-out say Diana was better off dead. It made Charles a better father. He could finally be with the woman he loved. Diana would have always been a headache for the Firm wondering what she’d do next. One 14/
person even came out and said “I won’t say it’s better that she’s dead, BUT…” (his voice trails of as he shrugs his shoulders).
But what?
Against this backdrop of smoke, mirrors and outright lies, Harry marring Meghan must have shocked the royals to their deepest core. 15/
In one fell swoop, the Sussex marriage crumbled all the falsehoods they’d been promoting at Harry’s expense. Harry married a highly accomplished, highly intelligent, charismatic, vivacious woman with a kickass work ethic and a philanthropic background to boot. Kate couldn’t 16/
measure up in any way.
Trying to say Harry is an immature screwup? He protected his wife and children by getting them out of England. Think he’s dumb? Read Spare and see how whip-smart this man is and how much integrity he has. Think he’s lazy? Look at the Invictus Games 17/
and compare it to Earthflop. Compare Harry’s military accomplishments to the fact that William blew off part of his already-reduced ambulance helicopter duties.
And Harry is BESOTTED with his wife. Revealing the cold dysfunction of his brother’s marriage.
Now remember 18/
Meghan is everything the royals feel they should be superior to. She’s biracial. American. An actress. Divorced. Then Meghan came along and did their own job far better than they did. A woman they felt was beneath them beat them handily at their own gig. 19/
Karma indeed never forgets an address.
No wonder she lives rent-free in their heads. The Sussexes will always be more successful and drive more clicks than the mediocre-at-best “royals” they left behind.
Harry and Meghan are the truest king and queen. 20/ #meghanmarklewon

The phrase “slimmed-down monarchy” is growing more and more irksome. The #britishroyalfamily has about a dozen palaces and vast wealth that other European monarchies don’t come close to. #KingCharlesTheCruel wanting a “slimmed-down monarchy” does NOT mean a few of those 1/
palatial residences are getting sold off and turned into museums like the Palace of Versailles—fwi France takes in WAY more royalty-related tourism dollars than Britain does. “Slimmed-down” in this case means concentrating titles/wealth privileges among an even smaller group 2/
of (white) people! FFS HOW DO PEOPLE NOT SEE THIS FOR WHAT IT IS?!
Thank God #GoodKingHarry and #PrincessMeghan called their bluff in the Oprah interview about #PrinceArchie having a title—the Palace was going to let the world falsely believe that the Sussexes CHOSE it! 3/
