These people want to be able to read and censor your private text messages. This seminar is part of a well-funded influence operation to brainwash the public into accepting totalitarianism. I’ll be attending their propaganda session and hope other defenders of freedom will too.
“There is currently no easy way to discover potentially problematic content on WhatsApp and other end-to-end encrypted platforms at scale,” lamented censorship advocates in a January 2022 Omidyar Foundation report. Image
Look who’s moderating the censorship seminar? A censorship Renee from Omidyar Foundation Image
Here’s the background on their totalitarian plans
It’s important to understand something: these people think they are better than you. They don’t think you can be trusted with deciding for yourself what you should be able to read. They want to decide for you. They have appointed themselves as your guardians. #CensorshipRenees ImageImageImageImage

Some say the government wasn't really involved in censorship, but @mtaibbi has discovered that the coordinated attack on the "Pentagon Papers Principle," which holds that reporters must publish important leaked documents, began at a US govt Federal Election Commission meeting. ImageImage
The 1971 decision by the New York Times and Washington Post to published leaked Pentagon Papers, which showed that the U.S. government knew it was losing the war in Vietnam, is such a cherished moment in American journalism that Steven Spielberg made a whole movie about it.
But in 2020, reporters with the New York Times, Wash Post, and other mainstream news outlets attended an Aspen Institute workshop aimed at convincing journalists that they shouldn't focus on leaked materials and instead focus on the person who leaked them.

70% of the people who participated in Ireland’s “public consultation” rejected the government’s proposal to criminalize speech. Why, then, is the government still demanding a crackdown? Its representative can’t explain. Why are so many governments embracing totalitarianism? twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

The idea that governments around the world have for years been secretly censoring ordinary citizens sounds crazy, but it's true. Worse, they are now on the cusp of imposing what can only be described as a totalitarian system to end freedom of speech as we know it. Image
World On Cusp Of Woke Totalitarianism As Governments Act To End Freedom Of Speech

Media blackout as politicians in EU, US, UK, Brazil, Canada & Australia seek to jail citizens for wrongthink under the cover of a Big Lie about "hate speech"

The Twitter Files gave us a window into how government agencies, civil society, and tech companies work together to censor social media users. Now, key nations are attempting to enshrine this coordination into law explicitly.

Many people claim that @mtaibbi & I exaggerated the size and scope of the Censorship Industrial Complex.

But now, new information has come to light revealing a widespread effort to spy on and censor private & supposedly "encrypted" text messages. Image
@mtaibbi Ever since journalist Matt Taibbi and I testified before Congress on April 9, critics of the Twitter Files have claimed that we were making a big deal about nothing.

We were being paranoid, they said, to imagine that the U.S. government was involved in spying on ordinary… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

The United Nations is training people worldwide to demand censorship by social media platforms of their fellow citizens for "potentially harmful content." At least one U.S.-government funded group, Atlantic Council, involved in U.S.-based censorship, is involved.
The UN effort emphasizes spying ("monitoring"), but the main goal is to pressure the social media platforms to censor disfavored voices.

The UN is US taxpayer funded, which means Americans are funding the spread of the Censorship Industrial Complex

The reason governments are demanding ever-more censorship is the same reason they turn everything — “disinfo,” “climate change,” “Covid” — into a “crisis”: the public doesn’t trust them. And rightly so. The elites look down upon and hate ordinary people. Image
“Today, we are witnessing the emergence of a new so-called emergency: the ‘disinformation pandemic’…. It’s an emergency concocted expressly to justify its proposed remedy: the erection and expansion of the Censorship Industrial Complex.” @lwoodhouse
“As the Twitter Files demonstrated, for years, government agents forged close relationships with top managers of the tech platforms. At Twitter, former FBI lawyers and other intelligence personnel colonized the top ranks of the company, further binding the platform to the state.”
