I share the public feeling that BMRCL rarely meets Metro deadlines. For RV Road-Bommasandra Yellow Line, BMRCL's latest deadline is Feb 2024.

Over last 2 days, I inspected this line's civil works & held meetings with BMRCL, rail contractors to address key issues.

Civil works in 15 out of 16 stations are 95% done. Rest to be completed by Dec end.

But for BMRCL to stick to deadline, availability of coaches remains main concern.

Chinese firm CRRC is contracted to supply 216 coaches in which 75% domestic production will be by Titagarh.

At least 7 train sets are needed to make line operational. The current delivery timeline convinced me Feb 2024 is an impossible deadline if things don’t change.

BMRCL will again push deadlines as always, further delaying this important line if we don’t course correct.

Bengaluru has greatly benefited from PM Shri @narendramodi Ji's leadership. He has been extremely sensitive & responsive to our needs.

One of the biggest takeaways from his visit is the announcement of a US Consulate in Bengaluru.

Back on Nov 18, 2019, had met EAM @DrSJaishankar & requested that a US Consulate be set up in Bengaluru.

@DrSJaishankar Later, had met & interacted with the then @USAmbIndia Mr. Kenneth Juster on March 13, 2020 & pushed for establishing a US Consulate in Bengaluru.

On 2nd May : Central Govt's Inter-Ministerial Committee met to discuss price rise of food grains & a decision was made on OMSS.

This meeting was held even before the state elections in Karnataka.

On 7th June : Wheat prices had increased by 8.13%.

The very next day!
On 8th June : IMC met again & two important recommendations were made in the meeting after due consideration.

A decision had to be made to bring respite to common citizens.

No 1. Impose stock limits to control price hikes
No 2. Discontinuation of OMSS scheme for all states including BJP governed states like UP/Gujarat.

When did CM @siddaramaiah govt write the letter to FCI for rice?

4 days after the IMC had already made its decision.
