Did you know that on many exchanges, 50% of funds held on the exchange aren't being used in an active trade?

They're simply being held in exchange wallets, greatly increasing users' counterparty risk.

We built Kollider to *significantly* decrease this risk.

Here's how.
All exchanges carry risks for users.

Centralized exchanges can have their wallets hacked, and DEXs can have their smart contracts exploited.

Users are taking on risk when they transfer their funds to these exchanges.
So why do many exchange users keep extra funds on the exchange? Several reasons.

- convenience
- needing extra funds for quick position management
- moving funds onto/off exchanges can be slow and expensive

What if sending money were as easy as sending an email?

And what if you could do it globally, instantaneously, with minimal fees?

With Lightning Addresses, it's really that easy.

Simple, human-readable account names for global transactions. Image
Lightning Addresses are simple usernames that look just like email addresses. Except they're accounts that allow you to accept Lightning payments.

For example: kollider@kollider.me

That's a real Lightning Address from which we can send and receive payments.
There's some brilliant complexity behind the scenes (h/t @andreneves), but to the end user it's super approachable and easy.

Stablecoins on the Lightning Network ⚡️💸

Hold USD + EUR balances. Move money around at the speed of light. Do it all on an open, interoperable, global network. All over Bitcoin rails.

A quick intro to Kollider Synthetic Stablecoins. ImageImage
Kollider synthetic stablecoins use derivates on the Kollider Exchange to offer fiat-denominated price stability to users.

In other words, Kollider offers users the ability to hedge their price exposure to Bitcoin by pegging all or part of their balance to a fiat currency.
How does this work?

When a user pegs a certain part of their BTC balance to USD, Kollider takes that bitcoin and uses it to create a position on our exchange (using our perpetual swaps).
