Matters have reached a bit of a crisis in funding my work on behalf of my J6 clients.
In the 22 weeks between Nov. 23 and May 5, I have spent 15 of those weeks in DC. I've made 2 round-trips from Hawaii to DC, and two round-trips to the West Coast while trying 3 cases.

That's a lot of Airbnb expenses and airfares.
I've already paid for two more round trips for late May and early June.
The reality is that contributions have slowed the past 90 days. Some of that is because I've spent much time in trial I'm not on here as much as in the fall.

I'm not going to deny the obvious -- the fundraising also pays me. I'm doing this work for extreme "low bono" - I can't do it for free.
I'm not getting rich by any means flying back and forth representing clients who can't afford to pay me. I've gone all in here on faith.

But there are signs that the ability to handle routine hearings via Zoom may be coming to an end. If I'm required to be personally present in more and more hearings, I'm going to have to cut back on the number of people I can represent because the costs will be too high.

There are "possibilities" on the horizon for more robust outside fundraising--but AmEx isn't patient about "possibilities" maybe coming to fruition.
Substack revenue has been a nice addition. Its a stable month-to-month source, but it is a small fraction of the costs.

As most know, I've launched into what promises to be a knock-down-drag-out battle with DOJ over Jake Chansley's conviction and sentence. Only 5 days after I filed the motion to set aside his conviction, the Judge ordered the Govt to respond.

I'm told it is rare in DC for such an order to come so quickly. The Judge had the option to deny the motion without requiring a Govt response, so ordering them to do so is a small victory right at the start. They will now be forced to offer an explanation for the videos.

You can bet that the LAST THING the Govt wants to have happen is their first big win in J6 cases to be set aside because the Govt violated Jake's due process rights in the way they handled his case.
So I expect a difficult and protracted -- and expensive -- effort there.

When the videos first surfaced, @elonmusk posted that he would pay Jake's legal fees. I didn't consider that a "promise", but I will mention on his platform here that I haven't heard from him yet.

Maybe those more familiar with the tech side of Twitter can help on this one. My interactions have cratered the past 3 weeks. I need all the help I can get with RTs because my Tweets are getting very little distribution. I'm hearing again from followers that they never see me.
