1/ Summary of a communication war or maybe even a well-oiled game...
Is there really a discord or maybe is there a strategy?
2/ On May 5, the leader of Russia's #Wagner mercenary group says he will withdraw his troops from the Ukrainian city of #Bakhmut on 10 May because of ammunition shortages. Direct attack on the minister #Shoigu.
3/ On May 5, #Kadyrov published a long post on his personal Telegram account, calling the conflict between #Prigozhin and Russia’s Defense Ministry “unpleasant.” He also said that #Akhmat battalion fighters would take up Wagner mercenaries’ positions.
4/ On May 07, Russia's Wagner Group boss says Moscow has agreed to his demands for more ammunition, days after he threatened to withdraw his men from #Bakhmut.
So the #Wagnerites will stay in the city to fight.
5/5 Was there no other way for #Prigozhin to get ammunition? Obviously. Did he really lack any? Possibly, but not enough to withdraw his troops. Has the Kremlin commented on the statements? No.
The dissention so desired by some is not so obvious and is more like a strategy!
