'꽃' a #Hanahaki AU where you can choose to lay yourself to rest in a special garden, with the hope of being re-born into a new life filled with love.

If someone visits that loved you, the seed left after your death will start to grow, budding but never blooming.

The tenders of the gardens have seen it all. Assholes that didn't deserve the love the Hanahaki-sufferer bore them. Lovers that thought it was physical only. Others too afraid to face their own feelings.

It's among those that hurt the most to see. Nearly as much as the ones that loved the deceased quietly, who choke on their own petals as they cry for the stubbornly un-bloomed flower.

Re-birth isn't what you might think it is, either. You don't get your body back.

If your person, the one that you loved so much you died; If your person loves you back and visits your budding flower...

The flower blooms and a single seed falls out. Then, they must make a choice.

To sacrifice their own life and future, or to walk away?

A flower only drops one seed. One chance. If the seed is not planted in the person that you loved, your flower dies, all hope is gone forever.

Or, if they choose to swallow it... you are reborn into their own heart. Vines will wrap securely around their hearts, tying it to you.

The voice inside their head becomes /your/ voice. They will never love another person again; They'll be incapable of it outside of the love they might have for parents, siblings, children.

Your consciousness will persist, your soul twined with theirs, evermore. A soft un-death.

These gardens can sometimes be in a sad state, littered with the dead blooms of lost hope. Some think it's bad luck to remove a dead or wilted flower; Others thing it's necessary to encourage healthy growth for the ones that do bloom.

But one garden in particular is known for its beautiful landscape. Painting-esque views, the most serene and peaceful place to lay yourself to rest and leave your hope.

That's because the tenders /care/. They love every bloom in their garden with their whole hearts.

When a flower wilts, its person has lost hope. It's a sad sight to see, but the tenders of this garden know that it happens. Just as regular flora wilt when not given the right conditions, so too do these. They stay up, night and day, beside the lost souls, giving hope and light.

'Hopeworld' is renowned for a reason. It's the garden of choice for all who want to have one last chance at love. It's the garden where love does not go to die, it goes to hope. Sometimes, hope is all you need.
