We thought we were beyond being shocked, but this document from @CareInspect is possibly the most willfully dangerous & wickedly irresponsible we have ever seen.

Cared-for children really are among the most vulnerable in society. They often have mental health issues & are at risk of exploitation & abuse.

They are over-represented in GIDS. This is something that concerns responsible people - but not @CareInspect

Responsible people, like Dr Latham and Hilary Cass, see these as warning signs & urge caution. @CareInspect, however, breezily recommend the "medical" route on offer at the Sandyford for children as young as 12 & shill for irreversible surgery on young, healthy bodies.

The Sandyford is still gung-ho about using methods condemned in the Cass Review. Throughout Europe, countries are rowing back hard as the disastrous health implications become apparent. Continuing to hurt children is an odd sort of Scottish exceptionalism

But even odder and more horrific is when this sort of damage is not only winked at, but actively encouraged by people with a duty NOT to exploit or abuse children. @CareInspect also lie about the law: single-sex facilities in school are not due to mere "social convention".

It isn't hard to see who wrote the report: LGBTYS (@mhairicrawford) who recently referred themselves to the police for allegations that staff preyed upon vulnerable children. Exactly the sort of children @CareInspect should protect. #Safeguardingfail

At some point there will be law suits. All those who failed children, incl Ministers of state, rogue medics @NHSScotland & @scotgov funded orgs, will be in the dock, and they will be answerable for the harms they have done. It looks like @CareInspect will be there with them.
