I thought I would narrow it down based on Musk saying, "she" (and yes, I know about the news reports). Errrr...um, Google Bard.
OK, I am teaching Bard.
"I apologize for my previous suggestion of Sheryl Sandberg as a potential CEO for Twitter. I understand that she has been involved in some major scandals at Facebook, and I do not believe that she would be a good fit for Twitter."
Good job, Bard.
ok, I am now addicted to the idea of just letting Bard be the CEO of Twitter. The interview is going well. Any other questions?
Bard for CEO of Twitter.
strong move, Bard.

if anyone bothers to call Andy Stone about this statement from the Judge in DE lawsuit filed by CalPERS against Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen, please remind him that a tech reporter on to the cover-up said Andy screamed at him to try to keep him from covering it.
And for those asking who would hold Facebook accountable? Advertisers, consumers, regulators, lawmakers? Well, they settled with FTC, SEC, class of 280mm users for record amounts. Lawmakers rolled. Advertisers didn't bolt. It's the pension funds - CalPERS doesn't mess around.
reminder: Facebook's EU data regulator's order is to be published by tomorrow.
Table stakes: FB will be fined and ordered to cease transferring all user data into US *BUT I fully anticipate they should and will be ordered to delete all EU data xfer'd to US back to May 2018.* 1/4
Why is this such a huge deal? Well as a reminder, we've recently learned in federal court discovery that Facebook appears to have no way to retroactively fully purge users' data. They said it will take as much as a year to pull all data for a user. This leaked doc got to it. 2/4
So if this is the order - signed off by data protection board for full EU - then we're in a place where FB to protect billions in revenue may knowingly violate order calling into question the authority of the EU and GDPR. (FB will no doubt try to lobby help from US govt). 3/4
Here on $8chan, yes the blue checks are eating this up. And the media folks that remain are making CNN the story - exactly how he wants you to. He’s the front runner, he’s been corrected every time and at the very least he’s likely already collected another defamation lawsuit.
I’m willing to bet beyond that additional defamation lawsuit, he’s said enough to make his criminal investigations, current and future indictments even more problematic for him.
The fans in the audience are irrelevant to me. Yes, it’s abhorrent they laughed at his sick remarks. Collins is doing as good of a job as anyone I could imagine. One can argue against interviewing him entirely but at that point you’re entirely ceding the role of journalism.
Perfect, Google. I'm thrilled we can all agree on this.
"There are many ways to regulate Google. Here are a few ideas:"
Go on, Bard.... /2
"Break up Google's monopoly. Google has a monopoly on the online search market, which gives it a lot of power over how people access information. Breaking up Google's monopoly would create more competition in the search market, which would benefit consumers and businesses." /3
This hot mic moment after Facebook testified this morning will get the most attention but I’ll paste a few other clips in this thread. /1
Canada continues to come prepared to ask fair and challenging questions. For instance, this reference to how FB’s Zuckerberg aggressively pushed back on UK Parliament in 2018. ps are we to believe a FB lobbyist really learned the term, “astroturfing” during Google hearing? /2
And also press on how whistleblower docs showed Facebook plotted to cause chaos in Australia by broadly blocking news and other critical information after the Senate vote but prior to becoming law. /3
Sigh. Facebook bailed due to this accurate change: “Late on Thursday, the committee notified Meta that the title of the hearing had changed to ‘Tech Giants’ Current and Ongoing Use of Intimidation and Subversion Tactics to Evade Regulation in Canada and Across the World’.” 1/2
I’m breaking my rule by sharing a full Facebook PR blog post. For those who have dug into how FB threatened and intimidated UK and Australian govts, you’ll understand what a load of garbage Nick Clegg is spreading here. 2/2 about.fb.com/news/2023/05/m…
Reminder, Clegg was hired as part of the effort to kill off existential lawsuits and global scrutiny leading to what is now approaching $6B in settlements to cover it up. We only later learned details from this Zuckerberg meeting. bbc.com/news/uk-politi…
