what if #joongdok college AU where they were roommates and whenever they got stuck with their assignments, they needed to cuddle with each other so that they could continue?

Kdj was doing his programming exercises and for some reason, his code just didn't run. He had tried to

do everything he could, from googling the error message, watching a random idian guy's video to asking a friend but nothing changed. Just when he was about to give up, yjh entered his room, asking him if there was anything wrong:

Kdj *feeling frustrated*: Urghhh what the hell

is wrong with this?

Yjh: Are you okay? Is there anything I can help with?

Kdj *extending his arm towards yjh*: Hug me. Just do it. Don't ask.

Yjh knew his roommate would act like this whenever his assignment went wrong, so he just silently went along with what kdj said.

The boy gingerly pulled kdj into an embrace, one hand stroking the other's back while the other hugged him by the waist. They would stay like that until kdj managed to think of a solution to his problem, which was often quite fast.

Kdj *while hugging yjh*: Oh wait I think I

knew what the error is-

He then quickly peeled himself off yjh, immersing himself in the assignment once again. For days like that, yjh would make sure to make extra chicken dumplings for dinner.

It was the same for yjh too. He was solving a calculus problem but it seemed

like he messed up a step or two during the differentiation part. Now, he was left with a mess of random numbers and letters and he had no idea where it went wrong.

But unlike kdj who wouldn't ask for a hug unless yjh initiated it, the boy immediately went to his roommate once

he realized that he needed that mind-refreshing hug.

Yjh *barging into kdj's room*: Kim Dokja.

Kdj *looking up from where he was reading his novel*: Huh? What's the matter, yjh?

Yjh didn't say anything else, he just dragged kdj to his room. When they had reached yjh's table,

the boy hoisted kdj onto his lap, his chin resting on the other's shoulder while he looked through the problem once again.

Kdj didn't understand what yjh was up to at first, but once he saw the sheets of paper filled with his roommate's handwriting, he immediately knew that yjh

was stuck with his assignment. While yjh was focused on doing his own work, kdj would just silently play with his phone or read a novel, sometimes sneaking a peak of the other's handsome focused look.

This hugging routine had become such a routine that they unconsciously did it

even if there were people around.

Once, when kdj was doing a really important group project with hsy at the school library, he got stuck again. Yjh happened to come across them and kdj immediately asked for a hug.

Kdj *looking up to yjh with an exasperated exasperated

expression*: Yoo Joonghyuk. Hug me.

Yjh *pulling kdj into an embrace*: Hmm ok, you did well.

Mind you, they were in the middle of the library, the other students looking at them with their jaws dropped.

Hsy *annoyed at the PDA*: kdj, the deadline is in 2 hours. We don't

have the time for you to cuddle with your boyfriend.

Kdj *still hugging yjh*: shut up hsy, I'm doing a favor for both of us.

Hsy didn't believe him at first, but when she saw kdj going through the problems as if it was nothing after the hug, she was impressed.

Hsy: wow the

Kdj: for the nth times I don't like yjh. And we are not going out with each other.

Hsy: Sure whatever you say, kdj. You and yjh are just roommates who cuddle with each other like it's nothing. Yeah yeah I get it.

Kdj couldn't understand why hsy thought two boys hugging each other whenever they were stressed was weird. Both he and yjh was comfortable with it so it should be fine, right???
