Spouse does the writing for Corruptario, our Substack. She's a brilliant writer, researcher, dot connector. She, I and our small collective have other jobs, so her work is done in 10 minute bursts, when the kids are out of sight and momentarily quiet.

We were all working journalists and reporters at some point, and we all went corporate because we were going broke and wanted families, if we're honest. It was a bad day for journalism when she left it. Her grit, determination and talent are unmatched. Especially now. 😱😑

There has never been a greater need for serious, revealing reporting in Ontario. Oligarch-owned media, Republican-owned media (that's all of it) are keeping you in the dark for their benefit. The same players own politicians of all colours at all levels. Truth is hard to come by.

Spouse and I have been screaming into the void for a few years now, mostly on Twitter. I pushed the Substack idea, because it's a platform we can't as easily be removed from. 😂 I sold her on making enough 💵 to maybe write full time again someday, but she didn't buy that. 😄

This Mother's Day weekend, I want to throw flowers at my amazing spouse, who is also the best mother, a great friend, a beloved boss, a talented writer, and a force for justice in whatever space she finds herself. She is the sun in our home and our life.
