Have You Taken His Yoke?

Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Jesus broke the yoke of sin and death that was over us!

Isaiah 9:2-4
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great Light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the Light shined.

Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before Thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

For Thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.

Isaiah 10:27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck,

And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

When we are yoked, or joined to Him, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us! The Spirit breaks the yoke; the power of sin and death in our lives!

Have you repented of your sins and been joined to Him? If not you’re not yoked to Him, and His Spirit is not in you!

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

And ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We are also told not to be yoked; or joined to unbelievers!

2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Once we have been joined with Him, and had the yoke of the law of sin and death removed from us, we are not to return to it!

Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Romans 6:1-6
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death?

Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

The yoke of sin brought sickness, death, fear, and condemnation, but His yoke brings forgiveness, freedom, and life!

Romans 8:1-2,15-16
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

We are to be His yoke breakers! By telling others about Him and His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ!

Isaiah 58:6,8
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward.

Beloved, Take His yoke upon you, then go and share this freedom with others!
