ya know, this auto-generated playlist of one's personal ShazamKit results has the potential to be genuinely interesting. apple.co/3M9PHXe
...though I think it would be significantly more so if [Apple, I'd imagine???] hadn't somehow managed to do whatever they did to Shazam - which I knew as a straightforward waveform-matching service (afaiu, it's all but… mastodon.social/@DavidBlue/110…
if any of ye happen to know the answer...
...and perhaps whether or not this is related to Google Image search retiring matching exactly by hash (which I used far far more often than you'd assume) to whatever the FUCK resides at images… mastodon.social/@DavidBlue/110…
does anyone know of any reasonably accessible waveform watching tools elsewhere, these days?

If you were unaware, the midwestern United States has seen moderately below-average ambient heat energy levels, these past few days.
After a full day of half-watching folks sliding (mostly intentionally! \<3) through the t-junction just in front of my girlfriend's living room'swindow, traffic had dropped to just about nill last night.
I was blabbing at length to my poor dear about something, facing the opposite way when her attention was (shockingly) stolen by a dwelling automobile at like 10PM.
especially if I were still writing a weekly newsletter, this single keyboard keyboard shortcut would be justifying my use of Safari over any other web browser on iOS.
which is crazy because guess how many non-Safari browsers I have on my phone right now?
NINE.
oh btw a sincere congratulations and thanks to @raindrop_io@exentrich for *actually* achieving what so many have tried and failed to do:
you have completely replaced my need to use Safari’s native Reading List (`⌘ + ⇧ + D`) EVER AGAIN in making this just as fast.
all barriers are gone, now… I have freed myself completely… to absolutely fucking adore TRASH HOUSE.
just LAZY fucking sampling. zero innovation. I see you. I know now it’s probably because of the absurd pressure to *stay in the streaming service feeds* you’re under as an independent musician. to release an EP every week and a half??? no it’s not normal BUT I”m still at 100% 4 u
just in case you needed to hear it… there is a magic in this in how swiftly you are able to whip up something that adds so much to my life.
in This Present Time I can have regular interactions with my adolescent celebrity crush that I *actually* would not be able to convince my 14-year-old self are real. not because of their significance but the opposite.
calling her mom is like... the only even remotely reasonable outcome, btw. she *is* a mom several times over, now. and 46.
and by "crush," i mean... at least 30% of my total cumulative mental energy was spent repeating "I am so in love with Sienna Guillory" for *years.*
imagine telling that person "one day, you're gonna wish her happy mother's day every year in a text box. she will call you 'bub.'"
