Petitioners raised an issue before the court that the meetings scheduled with INEC and even for yesterday was not made possible as they have frustrated efforts to meet.
And, until this moment, Petitioners have only received not more than 30% of documents relevant to be rendered.
The Petitioners said, a typical example is that of Rivers State where the Resident Electoral Commissioner blatantly told them that 'THEY DONT HAVE ANY FORMS EC8A IN THEIR POSSESSION TO GIVE TO THE PETITIONERS'.
Petitioners requested the REC put this in writing, that was not done
The Court suggested that the issue raised as to not getting over 70% of documents from INEC should be deferred and raised when the issue it relates to comes up during the trial.
4th Res.: They do not have any issues as to documents, however, the will reserve all objections and reservations regarding documents before the court until the time of their written addresses (final address to the court)
Petnrs: Reiterated it's position on not getting over 70% of documents from INEC he reminded the court that there was an order made by the Court to inspect the documents and the option left is to make an application for an order of Subpoena on the 1st Res. to produce documents.
1st Res: INEC has provided all documents to Petnrs and the two states of concern are as follows.
Sokoto: the Petnrs refused to pay the sum of N1.5million in order to access the docents from Sokoto.
Rivers: some documents were given to the Petnrs but they refused to collect...
the documents ready until ALL THE DOCUMENTS concerning Rivers state were ready.
These are the words of Counsel representing INEC.
4th Res: The problem of the Petitioners is not accessing the documents of Sokoto, but they have refused to pay N1.5M to access it.
Since they have documents of 34 states, we can as well proceed with trial without just two states (Sokoto and Rivers) instead of stalling trial.
Petitioners: it's falsehood that we don't want to pay the necessary fees. The issue is not payment, but the fact that INEC has refused to provide the documents. We are willing to pay.
"Regarding Sokoto, I hope they'll not push me to the wall to say what will not be pleasing"
Petitioners: counsels are playing delay strategies. They filed some motions on Monday, filed 2 motion late Tuesday and some today morning. These are delays, but we promise to respond on or before Friday. We've always responded to all documents files by Counsels and will continue.

Let's review the Supreme Court judgment of Adeleke and Oyetola...
Recall I told you that I won't make comments until I have digested the Judgment, however, for now, I'll work with the media reports.
I want the public to pay attention, but this attention is free of cost...
@thecableng reported that "The court further said that NO LAW REQUIRES PRESIDING OFFICERS TO TRANSMIT THE NUMBER OF ACCREDITED VOTERS or accreditation of the polls TO THE DATABASE or backend server of INEC by BVAS."
Let's probe the court's views in line with the law.
Follow me.
S.60(5), Electoral Act-EA provides that "The PRESIDING OFFICER SHALL TRANSFER the results INCLUDING TOTAL NUMBER OF ACCREDITED VOTERS (NAV) and the results of the ballot in a manner as prescribed by the Commission."
The law is unambiguous that the PO SHALL transfer Total NAV...
My name is UC Maxwell, and my support for Peter Obi’s mandate remains firm. I am not interested in crumbs, access, or whatever. I simply want a better society. If you approve, RT. ✊
