We've picked out 1️⃣0️⃣ highlights to digest before you jump into tonight's exciting AMA, with guest speakers from the #Mantle ecosystem sharing their insights on this new change 🧵 Image
1. The rebranding helps align and make components of the ecosystem recognizable through a single token name, ticker symbol, and ecosystem name.

2. For the proposal to pass, a quorum of 100M $BIT tokens voting in favor of the change will need to be met (we've achieved this!).
3. While the voting process is clear, implementing a new token is much more technical, and thus takes more research and consideration for how it will be executed.

1/ What is EigenLayer?

It's a restaking protocol that derives its security from Ethereum. ETH stakers opt in to restake their staked ETH to not only secure Ethereum, but also secure whatever network, application or service that you are trying to build as well.
2/ How are EigenLayer and Mantle going to work together?

EigenLayer has a product called EigenDA, a decentralized data availability layer that will help us to reach the goal of reducing L2 transaction fees by about an additional 80% beyond what it is right now.
