ofc i have to clarify this cuz it's twitter dot com and if you don't specify things perfectly then it's *your* fault for someone misunderstanding you.

I'm not talking about IRL Yoongi. I'm talking about the imagery he used in the MV by juxtaposing ambien with almonds
I have no idea IRL Yoongi's medical history outside of what he's shared with us, and it's none of my business. This isn't a post about medical history, it's about the MV. Yoongi said there are true stories in the MV, and some things were added to get his message across.
The idea of it the imagery being used side by side with almonds as a way to deal with the trauma, almonds being said to "help" the almond-shaped amygdala with processing traumatic memories and Ambien known for causing memory loss.

Ah! I was wondering what he was taking in the MV. It’s Zolpidem Tartrate, AKA Ambien. If you don’t know what that is, it’s used to treat insomnia but only for short periods of time.

Interestingly, one of the more common side effects of taking this medication is memory loss Image
Ambien really does work well in the short term for insomnia but only if you have enough time to sleep after taking it. Doctors don’t prescribe it for long term use because the side effects can become worse.
You can even experience hallucinations and night terrors if you don’t sleep enough.

I’ve taken Ambien before because I literally could not sleep for days on end, I was so stressed, but it made my night terrors worse. It really does knock your ass out though.

The most painful thing these days is I’ve seen so many ARMY boosting things that have been invasive of the boys private lives to seem like they care or that, on the other hand, they don’t care.

We talk about protecting the guys private lives, but our actions speak louder.
And you can take this how you want. I’m sure my words will get twisted no matter what but whatever.

You say you care about their private lives until something interests you or angers you.

You say you care about their private lives until you can get a hit tweet cracking jokes.
You say you care about their private lives until you can use something as a gotcha moment for someone you don’t like.

You say that you care about their private lives until you have want be seen as a “normal” fan or better than everyone else because XYZ.
