NO to HJR23. This bill would allow IDOT to enact a public private partnership to fund a massive construction project on I-55 impacting communities with some of the worst air quality in the state and the lifetime health consequences to show for it.

🚨UPDATE: The Senate took a bad idea (HJR23) & made it worse! Tonight, they passed #HB2878 to give broad permission for public-private funding of large transportation projects, like I-55 widening, & excluded regional planning completely.
