Why Can’t I Hear God?

The Word of God says that His ear isn’t dull, but our sins have caused this separation!
Isaiah 59:1-2

We can’t have an intimate relationship w/our Father when we are walking in unconfessed sin; when we know what we’re doing is wrong but we continue anyway!

Our fellowship is broken much like in our human relationships when there is something that has come between a husband and wife, a child and parent, or brothers, sisters, and friends!
The remedy for this is repentance and confession of any sin or wrong committed!

Another hindrance in our relationship with the Lord is dependence on something other than Him! This grieves Him!

What do we do when we have a physical need in our bodies or in our minds? Do we turn to God and ask Him for healing, or do we turn to a physician, or to drugs?

It has been said, and I’ve seen it first hand, that the enemy often gains entrance into our lives through drugs!
Often, instead of turning to the Lord to get peace, we turn to anxiety medications!

We turn to drugs to help us sleep, or when we are fearful, when His Word promises His children sweet sleep, and freedom from fear!

His Word says He heals us, but where to we go to be healed?
Many become addicted to anxiety medications, sleeping pills, pain killers, alcohol, and so many other things!

All these taken in an attempt to make us feel better! We turn everywhere but to Him!

Beloved, the Lord so desires that His children walk w/Him, trust in Him, & depend upon Him!
He desires unbroken & unhindered fellowship! So if you feel like there’s a blockage & He’s not hearing you, ask the Holy Spirit to examine your heart & life and show you anything amiss.

Then, confess any sin He shows you, & don’t continue in it! He will restore your fellowship w/Him!
