LAST MINUTE GALE OF APPOINTMENTS BY THE OUTGOING APC GOVERNMENT - by Hajara Husman
Early in the administration of PMB, I wrote a post on the need for d ruling party to employ and appoint persons who believed in their vision to help the government succeed in the key areas of its
manifesto especially the fight against corruption, economy and security. I saw it early that if it did not take measures to bring in like minds to work for it, it will only be a matter of time before sabotage from within will ruin its good intentions.
This is because, like Shakespeare's universally acclaimed truism "you can't read the mind's construction from the face." Humanbeings will pretend to be with you on a journey but they are the ones who will surreptitiously put holes in the ship to sink it.
It was sad to see those who actually shared PMB's vision and swore to help him drive it through checked out of the administration to give free rein to the wolves, hyenas and vultures that later surrounded PMB. Good men and women, competent, loyal and intelligent were hounded,
framed and disgraced from office and that has cast a blight on what would have been a resounding success for PMB as he leaves office in a week's time. It doesn't take rocket thinking to know that success and achievement need loyalty, unflinching commitment to a shared vision,
reliability, fidelity, patriotism, courage, determination, tenacity among many other are positive qualities that help in no small measure to elicit progress and development in any tier of government especially the federal.
In the outgoing government of PMB, we have civil servants, political appointees and cabinet members who openly dined with the opposition, gave patronage to those who were open opponents of the government, thereby giving them a formidable economic
and financial war chest to erode the support base of APC as a party and work for the opposition to recapture power at the centre. I have never seen a party anywhere in the world which empowers its enemies, leaving its own support base in penury
and at the mockery of its enemies, only in APC's Nigeria.
Now, as the PMB administration is winding down, the same people who ensured that APC almost lost power at the centre have filled many vacancies with stooges who will continue to do their bidding from within
so that they will keep influencing whatever policies the new government will embark on. If the incoming government does not want to finish off the little goodwill left by its supporters, it will do well to look into some of these last minutes appointments
and fix those who share its vision in all strategic places or its name will be sorry. #HU🇳🇬

The Quranic account of a mosquito which is so different from that of all other animals. It is the only animal which is mentioned with an emphatic denial that its creation could present any cause for
embarrassment to its Creator. Thus declares the Quran:
“Allah does not feel shy (or embarrassed) at mentioning the example of a mosquito because of what is carried above it . . . ”
Like in these verses, when He mentioned the names of small animals such as fly and spider,
and narrated parables about them, idolaters started to object. They thought they caught the opportunity they had been looking for in order to humiliate the Quran. How could Allah tell about such small and insignificant things? How on earth could it be?
