Donβt ever negotiate the price down without negotiating the scope.
If a client negotiates the price by dropping your quote by 50% or more
That's a red flag.
Before accepting or declining to work with them, try thisπ
Tell them this:
Sure, I can bring the price down, but that will come at the cost of a reduced scope of work.
Iβm also happy to refer you to my fellow designer, who is a bit less experienced than I am, but his work is much more affordable.
How would this help? π
That's where they usually go into full defense mode and try to justify your budget one more time, and they might negotiate again but much less aggressively.
That's why a good idea is always to give a quote that's 30-50% over the minimum you're willing to work for.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
