This is a serious post. Don't really care how many followers I lose. See what Sefaria is doing and I suggest deleting app and spreading word. #BoycottSefaria
So about Sefaria... part 2
After going through all the comments and looking further I can say I'm very embarrassed about this & was naive. I like many others used it casually & went straight to what we needed without looking under the hood. (Next)
About Sefaria...part 3
The fact that they have translations of seemingly only Orthodox seforim including a 'modern' sefer like Avodas Levi, by Rav Ruderman of Ner Yisroel, made it all seem kosher. (Next)
About Sefaria...part 4
I naturally assumed that the site was primarily intended for the Orthodox world and most of the people involved were as well.
When the gender neutral incident happened my 1st reaction was boycott. This is wrong. (Next)
About Sefaria...part 5
It reality it shouldn't be used in the 1st place. Even if they cave to pressure & remove this translation, it shouldn't be used. They aren't Orthodox & never were. Someone said yesterday that it would be like going into McDonalds and buying a water. (Next)
About Sefaria...part 5b an interlude
To see what is wrong a good starting point is browsing through their Communty tab to see articles like "Was Yosef Queer" or through topics tab with subtopics like abortion & environmentalism. (Next)
About Sefaria...part 6
To the many here that aren't Orthodox that are arguing that there is nothing wrong, my comments weren't really addressing you. They were meant for people like me who are Orthodox & didn't know better. (Next)
About Sefaria...part 7
If you aren't Orthodox, from your perspective you aren't wrong. It wasn't my intention to say what you should believe or follow. (Next)
About Sefaria...part 8
To those who are Orthodox & contend it is a library & you just use what you want & have no issue with it being housed among things not acceptable, can you say for sure they won't tamper with acceptable stuff? Prob not, but would you bet real $ on it?

Here is a list of different shul types. Let me know which of these guys are in your shul and if you have others. List is not in any order. Apologies if this was done before. I'm sure it was in some form at some point.
Talker - This guy can't help talking in shul. This same guy, might be quiet in other settings. If you see him with his wife, he's a completely different guy. #ShulTypes
Shisher - Shisher gets annoyed with any talking. He has a radar for it. He might sacrifice his own davening for this. It was suggested that in some cases shisher becomes "Talker" if the right person comes along. #ShulTypes
