It was still light out when I picked up this guy at Rio. He had his uniform on and it looked like the valet digs. He was on the phone, having a heated conversation with somebody about some fools he beat up for messing with his little brother last weekend. W Sahara here we come...
My passenger was still on the phone as we were headed north on Valley View just passing DI. We caught the green so I was probably going faster than the limit. Right around Sirius a black dodge charger, coming the opposite way pulled a ridiculous U-turn right in front of me...
I'm had to get on the breaks HARD so as to not hit this car that just blatantly pulled in front of me. My passenger put his phone down and yelled, "WHAT THE FUCK!?" Yeah, my thoughts exactly bro. I was in the middle lane and initially it looked like the car was going to go to...
the far right lane to get out of our way and avoid the collision but instead of that he turned even harder to position himself directly in front of me. Now my front bumper is only a foot or two off of his and at that moment he decides to break check me and I smash into him..
"WHAT THE FUCK?" my passenger exclaimed again. No sooner than we came to a dead stop in the middle lane two guys jump out of the car, one sitting shotgun the other on the driver side back seat. They're straight out of central casting like they just got off the Boys n the Hood set
One was tall and skinny with a white wife beater on and saggy pants and had corn roes in his hear. The other had a Kings jersey on and lots of chains. My passenger and I both had the same bad feeling that shit was about to go down...
I've talked before about when you have that feeling in your gut that something isn't right, you should heed that warning. Everything about this situation was bad. The deliberate accident and these two immediately jumping out of the car. I figured at best we're getting car jacked.
When these two guys started approaching my car I almost just threw it into reverse and starting backing up into traffic to get tf out of there. But I didn't. As they got closer my passenger said, "this doesn't look good." Yeah no shit.
But I didn't back up and instead rolled my window down and decided to roll the dice I guess. When Kings got to my window I could smell the alcohol immediately. And right off the bat he started talking shit about how I hit his car and he was telling me to get out of the car...
I couldn't make any sense of what Corn Rows was saying. But I was waiting for him to smash my passenger side window any minute. Kings was going on about how I smashed his car and how I needed to pay and I just said, "I got the whole thing on camera."
After much back and forth I finally convinced them to pull over to the bus stop a block ahead so we could get out of traffic and that I'd give him my insurance information over there. Kings got back in the car and Corn Rows started walking away...
As soon as they were gone my passenger said, "we should just bounce, you don't know what these guys are up to. They're drunk as fuck." "I was thinking about that," I said, "But I'm sure they going to follow us if we bolt, then what?" "Yeah you're probably right."
I decided to pull up behind them at the bud stop. I was convinced we were going to get into a high speed chase if I just took off. Kings got back out of his car and walked back over to me, taking a minute to look at this bumper. Before he could say anything...
I said, "Metro is on their way. It was my fault so lets get a proper report done with everybody's information on it." Corn Rows was out of sight. Kings looked at his bumper again. "You know what, I think it's good, let's not worry about it."
"Hey," I said, "I'm not worried about it if you're not worried about it." "Yeah just forget about it." and he got back into the backseat of his car and after a moment they sped away. We were still parked at the bus stop. "You played that perfectly" my passenger said.
"Good thing you got that all on camera man. It was looking pretty rough there for a minute." "What camera?" I replied. "What you mean?" "I don't have a camera bro, I just said that." "Oh you DEFINITELY played that perfectly man."
After some time had passed we continued on our way to where my man was headed. At the first stoplight we hit I got out to inspect my car. The front license plate mount was crushed and it cracked the grill a bit but at a glance it looks fine. Crisis averted.
For the remainder of the ride we spent the time re-hashing everything that had just went down and even shared some laughs about it. When you endure things when strangers it immediately makes you friends for some reason. And friends we are now.
When we arrived at his destination we both got out to look at my front bumper. I told my new friend if it ever came up again he was my witness and I'd be in touch. We fist bumped. Little did I know, I'd be getting felony stopped by two black & whites only 2 hours later.. -Fin
I need to sleep now. Will tell the other, rest, of the story tomorrow when I have time. Thanks, LVCC
Just wanted to clarify one thing, I never called the police. I just wanted Kings to think that I had. If he took a second to think about it, who would've realized that I didn't have enough time to call the police, and even if I had, it'd be at least an hour before they arrived.
I was counting on Kings not being very bright and it worked. These aren't the droids you're looking for. And lastly, I think we all know why Corn Rows never got back into the car and left the scene on foot. #Warrants. Anyway..moving on two hours later..

It had only been 2 hours since the gang-banger incident but it was enough time that it was completely dark out now and I found myself all the way on the other side of town near Lake Mead & Pecos. I was there to pick up a guy with an unusual name at a local residence..
After I picked him up I started the trip and noticed right away that this trip had multiple stops, which immediately annoyed me. I generally always refuse doing stops and I'll decline rides that have them pre-booked. This guy dooped me though. He could sense i was not glad..
"The stop will just take a second," he said. "We're just going to a smoke shop so I can get my vape and then you're taking me to work." "That's fine," I said. Feeling a little better that his stop shouldn't take but a minute or two.
I just had one of those really heavy, life altering rides. After this lady got done telling me her story, I made her give me a hug after I dropped her off. ...I'll write more when I have a minute...
Picked up this lady at UMC tonight. Taking her to her off strip motel. Grandma age. She's been here since Saturday from Tampa. Last weekend, her daughter, son in law and 2 granddaughters were involved in a head on collision 40 miles north of here on the 95...
They were driving here in a Dodge Truck. Around 10pm a drunk driver crossed a double yellow line trying to pass a semi and crashed into them. Her daughter is in critical condition, multiple surgeries. The 12yr old girl is in the ICU and the 10yr girl did not survive the crash.
I committed the cardinal sin this week of sharing some opinions about something I thought was important. But you only want me shut up and dribble. Naturally.
Lucky for us, something wild happened last night. To unlock the story this post needs 100 RT's
...and with that. It's story time. Gather round kids because this really happened. Just yesterday in fact. I thought about changing the names of the innocent, and the guilty, but who gives a shit?
About 3pm yesterday I took a call at the Wynn. But my passenger wasn't there. I called the rider named Peter who informed me they were walking over from the shopping mall to meet me. Minutes later, Peter and a attractive lady climbed in. She was hot, and a tad drunk, he was ok...
Something really funny just happened. I had a solid belly laugh for at least a minute. Picked up this little old Asian woman. Couldn't have been 5 ft tall, and she tripped and fell on the sidewalk while walking to my car. But that wasn't the funny part...
I immediately got out and ran around to help her up. I held her hand and walked her over to the car and threw her bag in the trunk for her. We were on the east end, going to Lake Mead and somewhere. I think she was Filipino, but that wasn't the funny part either...
On our way we approached a stoplight at Lamb & Vegas Valley. It's one that has a big dip at the intersection, that you'll wreck your car if you don't slow down for, and my light turned yellow at the worst possible moment. I'm too far away to go but I'm pot committed. So I go.
