While the loser fakecel scientists at the time studied flight from the comfort of their homes these brothers built a 600lb machine to launch themselves off sand dunes to discover first hand

Every attempt risked death.

Days before their first successful flight, the US government blew $70,000 on a flying machine that crashed in seconds.

Meanwhile the brothers spend a cumulative $1000 over 4 years.

Better results for less than 1/70th
the cost.

Sound familiar?

Being total dorks in multiple fields of mechanics, the brothers lugged massive cameras around to document their experiments.

They were essentially the first redbull athletes, combining content creation and extreme sports.

Except they did it for free with no fanfare.

My favorite part of the story?

The scientists were wrong. The academics were wrong. The “experts” were wrong.

A couple guys with nothing but a classic self-taught education were right.

They held themselves to the highest standards and for that reason they did the impossible.

Just remember that one of the best parts about America is when some schizo guys hellbent on a particular vision, escape the academic mind virus and change the world from their garage.
