1- Taj Mahal

Qutub minar, the sign of glory of the Delhi sultanate :

Built by 'Qutubuddin Aibak' in early 13th century, Qutub Minar is a beautiful example of Islamic architecture. The height of Qutub is 72.5 metre making it the tallest brick minaret in the world. 2/n

21- Gol gumbaz Bijapur

Gol Gumbaz is the tomb of Sultan Mohammed Adil Shah of Adil shahid dynasty built in 1656.

Gol Gumbaz is one of the largest domes in the world built before modern era. it is not supported by a single column but by a series of interlocking arches. 22/n

It is 51 metres high and 44 metres in diameter.
It is also an acoustic marvel and, even a pin drop is audible.

It is the second largest dome ever built, unsupported by pillars next in size only to St Peter's Basilica in Rome. 23/n

22- Ibrahim Rauza, Bijapur
Also known as The 'Black Taj Mahal' built in 1627.

Ibrahim Rauza, or the tomb of Ibrahim Adil Shah II, is a striking complex of 3 islamic architectures. Each resembles Taj Mahal, Agra, Charminar in Hyderabad and Bibi Ka Maqbara respectively. 24/n

23- Makkah Masjid, Hyderabad

Makkah Masjid of Hyderabad is one of the beautiful, oldest and historical mosques in the world. It was built in the 17th century by Muhammad Qutub Shah of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. 25/n

commissioned bricks to be made from the soil brought from the holy city Mecca and used them in the construction of the central arch of the mosque, thus giving the mosque its name - 'Makkah Masjid'. 26/n

24- Bara Imambara

The Bara Imambara, in Lucknow, was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh in 1784. The Bara Imambara complex includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya and a Bauli, a step well with running water. 27/n

Bara Imambara is one of the finest architecture of Lucknow. The Imambara is primarily known for its incredible maze, there are 1024 ways to get inside the maze but only 2 to come out. 28/n

25- 18- The fort in the sea, Murud Janjira Fort, konkan, Maharashtra

Impregnable Murud Janjira Fort, built by Siddi Nawab's on an oval shaped rock off the Arabian Sea coast. 29/n

The sea fort which had a well supplying non-salty water, could never be conquered by the Marathas, the Portuguese or the British.

Its name actually means "island-island", since it conjoins the Konkani word "murud" with the Arabic "jazeera", both meaning island. 30/30
