Months ago, the Canadian government threatened hundreds of international students with deportation for entering Canada years earlier on the basis of fake college admission letters drafted by their immigration consultants.
The students did not know the letters were fake, and most have since finished their studies at other colleges, entered the workforce, started families & applied for permanent residency. The CDN government is trying to deport these students for something they did not do.
Immigration Minister @SeanFraserMP claims that his “focus is on identifying culprits, not penalizing victims.”
If that’s the case:
➡️Why have they ordered the deportation of several students in June?
➡️Why are they leaving hundreds in fear & uncertainty about their futures?
➡️ How long will it take to ‘identify the culprits’ and let the victims live in peace?
➡️ If the government didn’t know the letters were fake when the students immigrated here years ago, why can’t the government accept that the students didn’t know either?
➡️ Why are students being stereotyped as liars and cheats when all they have done since coming to Canada is study and work hard?
Regardless of the government’s answers, the students are fighting to stop their deportation. In April and May, they protested in front of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada’s office as well as Minister Marco Mendocino’s constituency office in Toronto.
In May they marched in the Malton-Rexdale Nagar Kirtan to draw attention to their cause. Last week the held a press conference attended by an MP & Ontario Gurdwara Committee leaders. For months, they have been building links with student & worker unions & faith groups in the GTA.
The students are now taking their struggle directly to the front steps of the Canada Border Services Agency’s central office in Mississauga. They are doing this to stop the deportation of one of the students, Lovepreet Singh, which is scheduled for June 13.
The students will maintain the protest for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until Lovepreet’s deportation order is cancelled. Please join us alongside IYSO, MYSO and other organizations to fight together with these international students for their right to stay in this country. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Rupinder Singh is owed $4,020.34 in wages & vacation pay from Sukh Auto. When he quit and went back to the office to demand his wages, Sukhdeep swore at him, threatened to have him deported and hit Rupinder with a shovel.
