note. these 3 study methods might not work for you just as it did to me.
- start
1. use flashcards
I make my flashcards on the app "quizlet," but making flashcards is time consuming, so you may look up some sets so you don't have to make one, and to quickly recall the answers, I memorize the terms first (2nd photo) before using my flashcards.
- note. you can put the answer on the definition part as well or vice versa bcs you can just change the card orientation whether it will show the term first or the definition. see the photos below.
aside from the flashcards, quizlet also has these features to test your knowledge to recall the answers or meanings.
this is the study technique i use most of the time because flashcards are effective because they promote active recall in your brain, which is the process by which we retrieve a memory. Seeing a term and then actively attempting to remember the meaning helps to move it from +
+ short-term to long-term memory.
2. the blurting method
this technique is about testing yourself over and over again by writing on a piece of paper until you remember the information, although i only do this technique sometimes because i’m too lazy to write but anyways here is the format that i use.
3. Active Recall
After using the flashcards or doing the blurting method i try to recall it by thinking or saying the question and the answer until i memorize it. I usually do this before i go to sleep.
