Modi Govt's promotion of a shady Gujarat firm:

Gujarat-based firm Indiana Ophthalmics has been issued a notice yesterday after Govt of Sri Lanka complained that the company's eye-drops have led to severe vision damage in those who used them.

But it gets interesting 👇

Just 2 months ago i.e. in April 2023, the Gujarat-based company was "evaluated" & given a "ZED GOLD" certificate by Modi Govt.

According to the govt website, ZED certificate stands for "Zero Defect Zero Effect" & GOLD is the highest standard.

What's also interesting is that a calendar issued by Indiana Ophthalmics was inaugurated by no less than Minister @mansukhmandviya in 2020 who was then Minister for Chemicals.

Dept of Pharma came under his ministry then.

And now he's India's Health Minister.

Exposé on PM Modi's Sydney event:

PM Modi's mega event in Sydney y'day was heavily promoted through propaganda by BJP's pet news outlets.

BJP claimed PM Modi "met the Indian diaspora in Australia" to claim his alleged popularity.

PM Modi's event in Sydney was arranged by 2 organizations namely:

1. Friends of India Australia
2. Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation

Turns out that the "crowds" brought to Modi's rally were not average Indian NRIs but paid crowds.

Important:

On 20 May, Modi Govt's @PIBFactCheck marked a tweet of mine regarding 20% TCS on forex transactions as "fake".

I'd said that RBI currently doesn't have a mechanism for tracking LRS credit card spends in real-time across banks to ensure 7 lac limit.

RBI, according to its own docs, has a daily reporting mechanism for ADs to report forex spends made via bank accounts, debit cards, & forex dealers.

However, there's been no mechanism for tracking credit card LRS forex transactions.

I've filed an RTI with RBI on this.

Modi Govt's @PIBFactCheck marks tweets criticizing the govt as "fake" without providing any sources to back their claims.

Also, the govt has amended the IT Rules to force social media platforms to take down tweets that are marked as "fake" by PIB without any review.

Statement:

I’m back after spending 4.5 months in Ahmedabad Central Jail.

Why?

Because the Gujarat Police & the ED unleashed on me by the BJP arrested me in a case of Rs. 500. filed by a Gujarat Govt official claiming to be a donor.

Of the 1700 people that crowdfunded me between 2019-20, a complaint of Rs. 500 by ONE donor (incidentally a Gujarat Govt official) was used to charge me with “money laundering”.

Sadly for the BJP, these months of imprisonment didn’t break me like they wanted.

I was arrested on orders of BJP, got bail, re-arrested, & got bail again - all in a span of 4 days. I’m grateful to the Hon’ble judiciary for upholding my liberty.

BJP is hilariously mistaken if they thought this would break me.

I’m only going to come at them harder. 😊

I was given no notice for 5 days after an FIR was filed in Ahmedabad. The police told me that the IB was tracking me & told CISF to intercept me at Jaipur airport.

Ahmedabad Police who were in Delhi for a different case were told to rush to Jaipur to arrest me.

A frivolous case was filed for sharing a tweet made by someone else. Funnily the police have no clue who that person is.

The aim was to find a way to target me, throw me into jail, and keep me there.

This is the Modi & Shah textbook perfected in UP & Gujarat.

Shocking:

How India changed policy & tacitly supported ivory trade for importing cheetahs from Namibia.

In Sep, India got 8 cheetahs from Namibia. Reportedly, as part of the deal, Namibia asked India’s help on legalizing ivory trade.

I filed an RTI for a copy of the MoU

In the RTI response, Modi govt refused to give a copy of the MoU stating that it could affect relations between India & Namibia.

Now, why would a legally-signed MoU affect relations between 2 countries?

Because they didn’t want us to know the “conditions” of the deal.

And, shockingly, on November 22, India reversed our policy on trade of ivory (elephant tusks) & ABSTAINED on a resolution seeking a ban on ivory trade.

For bringing cheetahs to “celebrate PM Modi’s birthday”, India has now tacitly endorsed poaching of elephants.
