Michael & Meghan Griffin, both elementary school principals in the Northshore School District in Bothell, WA have been placed on administrative leave after their drug use was exposed and one of them was found high on coke w/ a loaded gun at a grocery store.
Michael is the principal at Sunrise Elementary, while Meghan is the principal at Moorlands Elementary.
On 4/30 officers responded to a disturbance call at the QFC on 161 Ave NE in Redmond and found Michael “in a paranoid state likely under the influence of cocaine.”
One of the responding officers said Michael had “dilated pupils”, as well as “visible white powder on his lips”, and was making “delusional statements.”
According to the documents, Griffin also “took his pistol to QFC chambered and unsecured in his front sweatshirt pocket.”
Police say that Michael was involuntarily taken to the hospital after they noticed that he yelled at a stranger before his wife intervened. Michael pointed at “uninvolved people,” because he “believed his wife was in danger possibly being trafficked.”
“Griffin identified himself and said he was the principal at Sunrise Elementary in the Northshore School District.” Griffin stated, “My wife is Megan Griffin, we go to Las Vegas all the time, someone got ahold of her and…their…it’s like a trafficking thing..."
"...She has something on her that they can see or like she is communicating with them. She has been writing me notes, you have to trust me”.
Michael pointed at other uninvolved people near QFC and said, “There’s a team of them, look look” and told officers, “There’s more people in the parking lot watch my white car, I know I sound crazy, and irrational please just trust me.”
He also pointed to an Amazon truck that he said was near his car in the parking lot and said he believed “they” were trying to get into his car.
According to law enforcement, Michael was convinced his wife was trying to communicate with him through written notes and attempted to give the responding officer two bags filled with documents and valuables to hold onto “because he could not keep anything in his house.”
He also tried to convince the responding officer that his wife was being “pimped”.
Additionally, “A loaded and chambered Glock-19 was removed from Griffin and entered into Redmond Police Evidence as safekeeping.”
Officers located Michael’s wife, Meghan inside the grocery store with her daughters. Meghan was “visibly upset and crying” and mentioned she did not know where her 10-year-old son ran to after Michael told their son to run.
The boy was later located across the street at a nearby business.
She told officers that Michael was convinced she was having an affair with an old college friend which she said was not true, that he was paranoid about it & that his paranoia had been going on for about a month.
Later that day, Michael’s brother, Gerald Griffin came to the Redmond Police Department to turn over two firearms he said belonged to Michael because he was concerned about him having access to firearms with his declining mental state.
Gerald turned over a SKS Semi-Automatic rifle s/n 10418 and a Winchester Shotgun s/n L2339419 along with 19 rounds of 7.62 X 39 ammunition.
The public school district put Griffin on leave May 9 after learning about the incident.
On May 30, the district also placed his wife Meghan on leave. According to an email that the principal at Moorlands Elementary sent out to families, the district “became aware of statements made by Principal Meghan Griffin in a police report.”
According to a handwritten statement given to Redmond Police by Megan and obtained by The Post Millennial, she wrote, “Our recreational drug use began about a year ago while on vacation. It increased recently.”
She continued, “Michael and I went to see our primary care doctor on March 22, 2023. The doctor told us we needed to stop the use of cocaine and that at the next check-up, the doctor would do a full workup to check for anything else that could be causing the delusions.”
According to Redmond police, no criminal charges have been filed, but officers applied for an Extreme Risk Protection Order, and took formal possession of Griffin’s firearms.
Officers wrote in the application, “The Redmond Police Department fears that Griffin’s paranoia will only continue to increase and could cause him to end up in an altercation with an uninvolved party.”
They added, “Griffin’s mental state and access to firearms are made even more concerning as he is the principal at a local elementary school.”
The school district said it will “continue investigating and take appropriate action.”

🧵Bartell Drugs is closing its location in Ballard next month
Bartell's Sr. Vice President of Operations Ken Mahoney told the Ballard Alliance said in 2020 that the assistant manager was assaulted, adding “Employees are plagued by habitual shoplifters and harassment.”
Though the owner Rite Aid did not specify a reason for the closure, according to a 2020 survey of 88 businesses that included Bartell, Ballard businesses have been victims of crimes such as shoplifting and assault, leading to financial losses and employees feeling unsafe.
In 2019, Crime concerns forced Bartell to close its location in downtown Seattle. Crime was so bad they left but continued to pay rent through the end of their lease
🧵Joe Biden's "National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism" has The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a partner, an organization that according to the ADL had "connections with organizations that are or were affiliated with Hamas"
According to the ADL: "Hamas is designated as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) by the United States and is also viewed by the EU as a global terrorist organization."
CAIR’s leadership have used inflammatory anti-Zionist rhetoric that has veered into antisemitic tropes related to Jewish influence over the media or political affairs, or has descended into the vilification of Zionists, which includes the majority of American Jews.
WATCH🧵During a meeting of the @KingCoRHA Continuum of Care board, co-chair Shanéé Colston yelled at another member who objected to nominating a sex offender to the board
“He’s here because sex offenders are another population that is vulnerable that don’t have housing!”
Even though the member alleged that the nominee had acted inappropriately with her Colston yelled
"Everyone deserves housing! I don’t care if they’re a sex offender! I don’t care if they’re black! I don’t care if they’re indigenous. I don’t care if they’re a criminal!"
"I don’t care if they’re coming out of jail, prison. Everyone deserves housing!"
The nominee was Thomas Leviel Whitaker who in 2010 he was convicted of harboring a minor, a 13-year-old runaway whom he had a sexual relationship with.
Critical Race Theory is woven into every aspect of the public school curriculum in Washington state. This music curriculum is also being sold to schools across the US
It doesn't have any notes but it does tell you how music was used for "power and oppression"
"How have notions of “musical validity” been informed by white supremacy & in what ways can curricular choices in music education be expanded to include a variety of aesthetic values, performance functions & knowledge transmission strategies as equal expressions of musicality?"
"We teach the history of music in order to illustrate its connection to white supremacy and challenge and expand mainstream curriculum to disrupt the perpetuation of white supremacy."
EXCLUSIVE 🧵: THE RACISM THAT IS BEING TAUGHT TO K-5 IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Washington Ethnic Studies Now is peddling curriculums that teaches students as young as 5 that if they are white and/or live in America they are "oppressors"
Tracy Castro Gill, the radical who designed the curriculum is also teaching these young children how to become the next generation of activists and what is "resistance"
@WA_SBE and others across the country pay over $11,000 per module for this material
Castro Gill attempted to keep all this material and more secret by filing a restraining order to stop its release to the public.
Thankfully a court ruled in our favor and ordered the release
EXCLUSIVE 🧵6 months after a student was shot & killed at Ingraham HS, Police were called Thurs after a student brought a gun to campus
Officers confiscated the gun & the student was "disciplined"
Police were not on campus because they were banned by @SeaPubSchools in 2020
Friends of Ingraham sent emails calling out the school and specifically board member @liza_rankin for lack of action to address campus safety & not performing a "safety audit"
The student from Thursday's incident had previously brought a BB gun & a large knife to campus
The school responded with a word salad email claiming they had a "zero tolerance policy" for weapons, despite the student having previously brought weapons to school
