In particular, the United Front.

There are three common mistakes with regard to Beijing's disinformation campaign:

The first is to dismiss it as non-existent. I know people who equate "disinformation" to "Russia only". China is more creative. It can deploy in a lot more resources.
The second mistake is to underestimate the lethality of disinformation.

Which country has inflicted the maximum casualty to America by far? China.

The US lost 440,000 in WWII

If the US did everything Taiwan did, we would have lost 30K people,

Let me start a thread to lay out some basic facts.

I know it is blasphemy to the rising religion of China will beat the US. Or as some former national security advisor, an Epoch Times columnist concludes that China is "more than near peer". /1
Or as Mr. Nial Ferguson repeats that China is going to be so strong. Or as my beloved scholar Stephen Kotkin says: China is a great civilization with great achievements...

Before the high priests of this religion burn me on the stake, I confess that I did not grow up /2
in the insulated green zone of China where most "western experts" and expatriates live.

I grew up in a real China, although the city I came from and where I used to work are very privileged, making me look like a SOHO kid working on the Malet St. I am now aware of /3
