Waking up to one of the worst #TrainAccident is surely tragic but what's necessary is to find out the perpetrators and know the facts. Clearly this is something unheard of.

In the thread sharing couple of facts that arise suspicion indicating sabotage from external forces.

Just 3 years back Indian railways reported FY2019-20 as its safest year owing to Zero passenger deaths.
This was due to increased safety measures and wide range of other initiatives undertaken. Come today - We have on our hands the deadliest derailment in Indian Railways history.

Last Month GOI is proudly mentioning the pace of work undertaken for complete electrification of Railways which would make us the largest Green Railway in the world. We are set to achieve it by 2024. Compare it to other nations in world US - 1%, China - 72% & Europe - 60%

So now, come to think of it who was against idea of electrification and deep dislike for India achieving it?
For that we need to rewind and visit couple of years back!

Indian Railways signs a deal with General Electric in 2015 of 2.5Bn $ for 1,000 locomotives. Come 2017, Railways ministry revises plan and asks for tweaking the agreement to change delivery to electrical engines. Electrical engines would save India massive expenditure on fuel.

However, General Electric strongly opposed the move and quoting their response - "If GOI moves with changes in JV agreement - The consequences could be significant"

The deal did undergo negotiations later on with then Railway minister. But contract wasn't altered to a large extent. Meanwhile GE Railroad branch got merged with Wabtec corp who is now serving the requisite pantographs for electrical engines.

Tone and Statement of GE back then was of utter dislike and am sure of it to still be the same as we are near to achieving target in 2024 with alternate strategies.

General electric is infamous to have CIA NOCs within company.

CIA officers pose as American businessmen in friendly countries, from Asia to Central America to Western Europe. There, they recruit agents from the ranks of foreign officials and business leaders, pilfer secrets, and even conduct special operations and paramilitary activities.

To conclude there is enough information to explore various angles but for sure today's #OdishaTrainAccident wasn't a normal tragedy and needs to be thoroughly probed.
